"Do you really believe it to be a good idea, letting her continue her roles as it is?"

Once Madara had briefly shown [Name] to her new room as she directed those bringing her belongings, he stepped into his father's office to let him know of the Kouhage's arrival.

The leader closed the door behind himself with a frown, taking a seat before his father so that they could discuss [Name]'s position in their household more comfortably.

"She showed us great promise when she was first introduced into the clan, and hasn't failed any of our expectations since," stated Madara firmly. "I see no reason for removing her from her duties as a kunoichi."

"A brilliant kunoichi she may be, but do not forget that the reason you are marrying her is to unify our two clans," pointed out Tajima. "Unification, which requires offspring to represent our bond. Offspring that she cannot safely bear if she is out and about fulfilling her duties as a kunoichi for our clan."

Madara frowned as he mulled over his father's words, seeing the dilemma in his desires. He truly did want [Name] to continue actively serving as a kunoichi, because he didn't want her skill and talent going to waste. He also enjoyed fighting alongside her, because the battlefield was one of the only places where he could frequently see her without Sasuke angrily breathing down his neck about it.

As he was thinking of his nephew, Madara remembered.

Wait. We're going to be married. I can see her whenever I want.

Her prowess as a kunoichi aside, now that Madara had access to [Name] whenever he wanted it, he saw the logic behind his father's words. As for her skill and talent? Their children could more than make up for their mother's temporary inability to continue shining on the battlefield.

"... you're right."

"And?"

"I will allow [Name] to continue serving as a kunoichi up until our wedding," said Madara with an air of finality. "After that, I will have her roles lessened, and bar her from battles, so that we may focus on trying to raise a family. Up until she falls pregnant, I will assign her to teaching the younger children alongside Shisui, so that she's at a low risk level with her students."

"Very well. And what of Sasuke?"

"What about Sasuke?"

"Everyone knows of his fondness towards [Name]," said Tajima skeptically, raising an eyebrow at his son. "There's no way he is simply going to let you take away his wife like that. Surely you too have noticed."

"... I have, but I see no reason to worry about it. [Name] knows her place is by my side- and Sasuke wouldn't be so foolish as to go against my will. I trust [Name]. I will not be taking away any of her freedoms until she has proven that she doesn't deserve them."

Tajima sighed at his son's stubbornness, deciding to let him run things his own way.

"Whatever you believe, Madara. Do not allow this woman to make a fool of you in front of our clansmen. That will be a fall you will not be able to recover from very quickly."

"Trust me, otou-sama. I will not."

"Good. I look forward to meeting her at dinner. Of course, this time as my new, unofficial daughter-in-law."

"... shh!"

[Name] stifled Sasuke's face with a pillow as they rolled around on their futons not even a week later, with the Kouhage having begged Shisui to take her class for around an hour so that she could find time to spend with Sasuke. Begrudgingly, the unruly haired Uchiha had allowed it, but only on the condition that she left a shadow clone in her place so as not to arouse suspicion with her young students, who were already curious about their teacher's bizarre married life as it was. As a result, the female's time with her lover was limited, but it was no problem for her and Sasuke, who quickly made up for lost time since she had moved out.

"Are you still taking that medicine from Sazae? The contraceptive one?" came the raven's muffled voice as [Name] quickly sat up and began rebinding her bare chest, preparing herself to return to her class.

"Yes, but I hope she'll still provide me with it once Madara and I have formally married," said [Name], standing up and rushing to redress as she gathered her discarded garments. "I can't even fathom sleeping with him at the moment. It's too much."

"I'm guessing you've been in a dry spell since you moved in with him, huh?" joked the Uchiha as he threw off the pillow, sitting up and looking up at [Name] in all his bare glory. [Name] went red in the face, but didn't deny her ex-husband's words. "Ha! I knew it! Is that all I am to you, [Name]? A toy for when you get hot and lonely?"

"Shut up, Sasuke," scowled [Name] as she began putting her discarded yukata back on, knowing that he was joking but disliking his words nonetheless.

"I was just kidding. I've been the same with Sakura. It's lonely without you here."

Thankfully when she and Sasuke had arrived, Sakura and Sarada were out, meaning that they had had the entire house to themselves. But now, time was quickly passing, and [Name] knew she needed to hightail it out of there before anyone noticed her absence from the training grounds, or her presence in her old home. Although she knew Sakura wouldn't have minded [Name] being here, the Kouhage would have preferred that only a minimal amount of people were aware of their extramarital activities. And so far, only she, Sasuke, and Shisui were in the know.

"Why do you have to leave so quickly?" asked the Uchiha mournfully as he watched [Name] tie her hair up, before she bent down to pick up her weapons pouch and sheathed katana. "Why can't you stay longer?"

"Because someone will notice I'm gone," said [Name] shrilly, turning to face Sasuke with a final pose once she had tidied herself up nicely. "How do I look?"

"Judging by how you're still standing... you look like you haven't been fucked hard enough."

"Shut up, asshole!"

On her way towards the door, [Name] viciously thumped Sasuke on the head, storming out of the room at his crass words.

"Not even a goodbye kiss?"

"You can kiss my ass!" called out [Name] as she slammed the door behind herself, making Sasuke sigh and flop back onto his futon in discontentment.

Things really hadn't been the same since [Name] left; unlike how Madara had intended, Sasuke had yet to even scratch the surface when it came to connecting with Sakura. She hadn't moved into his room yet, mostly because she was too busy tending to Sarada all the time. Sasuke didn't mind, either; he much preferred their living arrangements stayed the way it was. The only thing [Name]'s departure had done for their household was leave a feeling of emptiness behind, a feeling that was felt by both him and Sakura, and to an extent, Sarada as well.

And even though they would continue to meet in secret behind Madara's back, Sasuke was dissatisfied with the fleeting time he was able to spend with [Name]. He wanted their nights together, when they would be able to do as they pleased without the looming threat of being caught hanging above their heads. There was only so much you could do in one hour, and it wasn't sufficient for the Uchiha's needs.

However, any time with [Name] was a good time these days.
