Changed Jake's Sister [Colby Brock]

I thought about my shirt. It was bright red. For some reason I felt off about what it was. It said girls be girls.

I felt off. I felt the same feeling as in the car as I was rushed to the hospital. I have no clue about the feeling but something was telling me that it was off.

"So. Do you still want to do that Sam and colby video?" Colby asked. I could see the features match the black shirt he was wearing. "Yea. If I'm not able to then I'll just head to the car." I replied with a nod. I decided to go to bed cause I felt tired. "Hey I need sleep." I told everyone then began to walk upstairs.

I was pulled back at the top of the stairs by someone grabbing my shoulder. The touch made me think of Colby's arm wrapped around my neck as I was in pain.

I thought about earlier. When I was resting on his chest as his soothing voice spoke through my ears.

"Rae?" Colby's voice fought my attention. I made nothing of it but inside I shook because of his worried tone. "Y-yea?" I replied, questioning, as I turned around slowly. "Ad you alright. You kinda blacked out a little down there." I nodded trying to hide the truth.

I'm not ok. Something inside of me is saying "your off."

My mind kept telling me I'm off. I just shrugged it off and just trotted over jakes room to stack on my pajamas. I found the long fuzzy pants made of Orange fuzzy fabric. I grabbed a white tank top, which layed right beside the pants.

I quickly stripped off my clothes and replaced them with my pjs. I let my hair flow down from my pony tail. I slicked my hair back with my fingers stroking through. I could feel the brown strands run against my fingertips, sending a chilly feeling as the cold hit my nuckles.

"I'm ready." I shook my head and stuffed my phone in the pocket I had. I walked out with my headphones dangling from my palm and fingers.

I looked around to see if anyone was there. I didn't hear any talking downstairs from here so I assumed no one was down there.

I continued to walk, bare foot, over to the stairs. The cold tile hitting my feet as feet bend with every step. I slowly rubbed my hand down the wall as my feet take another step.

Once I got to the bottom no one was there. Did it really take me this long? I continued over to the couch. I still spotted the black blanket spread across the bean bag.

I took out my phone and plugged my earphones in. I crushed the bean bag by jumping on it. I stole the blanket from beneath my thighs and dropped it over me. I turned on my pop playlist and began to play dua Lipa. I hummed as my eyes shut close. I felt my heart move with the music.

"Rae?" I heard a muffle through the music. I quickly opened my eyes and could see Sam standing in front of me. "Hey Sam." I liked my earphones out of my ears. "Why are you sleeping down here?" Then I saw Jake appear from behind him. "Because I wanted to. I just wanted to listen to my music." I replied.

"Rae, I told you that you can sleep in my bed." Jake spoke full of demand. "Well I thought you were sleeping in it." He nodded no and came close.  He was an inch away from my feet and ripped the blanket off of me. "C'mon." He softly said signaling me to walk upstairs.

"As long as I get the blanket." I laughed and from behind Jake I could see Sam losing his voice as he laughed. Another chuckled escaped my mouth, seeing Sam dying. "You ok sam?" He held up the ok sign then me and Jake continued up the stairs.

"I was doing some talking in Colby's room with Sam and colby. I wasn't sleeping in my room." He implied breaking the fan silence. All I heard was the little air conditioning running through the house.

"Ok. What about?" He nodded no and told me "just about a few things." I nodded in reply. What few things? I asked myself.

I stumbled over jakes bed and spread my body over his sheets and blankets. All that I snuggled with was that one blanket that rested along the couch.

I wrapped myself as if I was a taco. I rubbed my hand over my tired face so I would feel less tension in my cheeks. I rested my plugging my earphones back into my ears. I clicked play on my playlist then blasted music into my ears.

I felt my eyes shut as I slowly started dancing to the music. Then I slowly stopped. My body shut down into deep sleep. But before it did, I had a thought.
