"Hey guys." I smiled while stuffing my face with some delicious, moist, cake. I could really taste the great frosting.

"Hey, you really enjoy it huh?" Tyler spoke while stuffing his face. I nodded while imagining like I was in a tv commercial.

"This is a nice party set up." Mason tried speaking over the loud music.

"Yea. I'm going outside for a moment." I replied, setting my plastic fork and plate in the garbage. I smiled then left them to be as I kinda pushed everyone around.

I reached the handle like I was holding on for dear life. Pulling the door was easy just getting out of the house wasn't.

I walked over to the pool, and right next to it I just rested myself. Feeling the cold cement hit my back, pulling my hands up to rest my head on them.

I just gazed up to see the brightest things glowing up. The beautiful pieces of energy that are spread out through space, the stars. The night sky always gets to me. It's something that just makes me feel so happy, the night.

It seems so pretty everything I look up or take a glimpse of it.

"I love it." I whispered to myself, while breathing in some chilling air, feeling my bones shake inside me as I felt suddenly cold, but that didn't make me go inside. I stayed out. This was to pretty of a moment. Seeing just a few pink clouds but mostly darkness roaming over the sky filled me with delight.

"Hey!" I heard Sam speak from behind me. I lifted my head to see him upside down, walking towards my direction.

"It's freezing, how are you surviving?" He asked while holding his jacket close to his body.

"Well I'm freezing, but I can't get over the fact of how beautiful the sky is." I gave the best and most honest opinion I could ever give.

"Yea, it is pretty." He replied, then taking a seat next to me.

"Lay down with me." I implied, patting the spot next to me. "Maybe you'll feel warmer when I'm next to you." I said, not meaning to sound creepy in any way and luckily he didn't take it as that.

"Alright." Sam sighed in defeat as his body slowly spread out across the cement.

"Well earlier was weird." He spoke out loud while getting in the same position as I was in.

"Yea,I don't even know why." I chuckled remembering that awkward moment between us.

"It was weird for Colby and I bet it was weird for Kat." I smiled still gazing at the sight.

"Yea, she told me. But she's okay." He replied, then I felt a sudden nudge from him. I turned my head as a quick reaction.

"Sorry, just moving around." He said then sitting up.

"I really enjoy spending time with you, Rae." He turned to look at m, switching my gaze to look into his blue eyes.

"Me too." My voice suddenly repied. I didn't even think, I just spoke.

"Sam! ! Happy birthday!" Mason. It was Mason.

"Mason!" I said, quickly sitting up to look behind me.

"Sam, this is Manson. A friend I made at a restaurant. Hes nice, don't worry." I assured him as they both shook hands like polite gentalmen.

"Nice to meet you, she invited me so I just wanted to wish you some luck." Mason spoke, then taking a big gulp of his drink.

"What is that?" I asked, pointing my finger towards the red polo cup.

"Oh some beer Brennen brought. He's a good guy, but can get nuts." I laughed taking my eyes off them both. Then Sam stood up, acvidently laying his hand on my knee.

"I'm sorry, see ya later, Rae." I waved bye when Mason came to sit right next to me.

"Boyfriend?" I nodded no.

"Oh no. My boyfriend isn't Sam, it's Colby." I replied still sitting in the same position. I got back to gazing up at the sky.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" I asked him, the purple and pink clouds slowly starts to fade away while he thought about his answer.

"Yes it is. Just like you." Then the cringiness came to me. He shook his head and face palmed.

"Shoot, I'm so sorry. Please don't put that into much detail, I wasn't thinking." He apologized over and over again, starting to freak out.

"Mason, Mason. Calm down. I forgive you." I calmingly spoke, assuring him with my hand movements.

"Yea, sorry." He said, looking back up.

"Rae! Come here!" Colby's voice rang through my ears. My ears sharpened as I stood up immediately.

"Ok, talk to you later, Mase." I waved him goodbye as I ran over to Colby's arms. He then embraced me into a giant hug that I've wanted for a while.
