{12} The Monster Inside

{Akari's P.O.V.}

Jiraiya, Naruto, and I arrived at some village that was having a festival. I still had ahold of Naruto's wallet because I know damn well he's going to spend it all on women and sake. I'm not going to let him take advantage of Naruto. 

Together we walked through the festival and Jiraiya had gotten us a room key to a hotel. I don't understand why he would take Naruto all the way out here, and why we had to travel this far for training? 

However, my concerns about what Kakashi told me has me questioning about Han's disappearance and the other tailed beasts. After this, I need to check on every tailed beasts, and their host, to see if they are alright.

This Akatsuki organization is dangerous and could be a problem for me. It might get in the way of my duty. "What do you think you're doing, Jiraiya?" I sigh when I lance over to see him gawking at some woman. 

"Oh, nothing. Just taking in the scenery, that's all." He chuckles while rubbing his hands together. 

Men these days. I swear, they have a one track mind when it comes to women. "Naruto, let's check in the room and get started on your training, okay?" I look at Naruto and he nods at me with a grin. 

That way, I can keep an eye on Naruto while the pervert of a Sanin does whatever he wants. 

Naruto and I go into the room that Jiraiya checked us in, and went to training. Well, more like meditating. Which will give me the chance to speak to Kurama. 

I close my eyes and find myself in front of Kurama's cage, and I think that he's sleeping. He's never been this quiet before. "Kurama, are you sleep?" 

"I was until now." Kurama's voice is deep as ever and sounds more annoyed than usual. 

"I'm sorry to interrupt your slumber, but there is a favor I want you to do." 

"A favor, or a command?" His eyes wander to mine as he faces me fully. 

"A command to be exact. Sorry. But I want to ask you something first. Do you know an organization called The Akatsuki?" 

"No, my lady. I never heard such an organization as that. Does this have something to do with the boy?" 

"Yes." I nod my head. "He used your chakra to summon a giant toad during the ambush from the sand village. If he does use your chakra again, give him the power he needs." 

"And what if something were to happen? As in, my chakra being taken away." 

"You make it sound like you know what's going to happen. But if it does come to that, then I will step in and protect you and Naruto both." 

"Always protective as ever, lady Akari." Kurama smirks, followed by a chuckle. "Sometimes it gives me a reason not to break out of this cage." 

"I'm touched." I say in a sarcastic tone before turning my back to him. "Do as your told, and if things don't work out the way they are planned, then I will step in. Understand?" 

"Yes."

I open my eyes and see a bunch of shadow clones of Naruto in the room. How long was I talking to Kurama to have Naruto make so many shadow clones. "Since when did we decide it was nap time?!" Naruto shouts at his clones. 

Before I could say anything, there was a knock at the door. "I'll get it." I tell Naruto and walk over to the door with the key in my hand. 

Why do I have this feeling that something is wrong? It's the same feeling I felt before I left the leaf village. It came back to me just now.
