"Do you really have to go?" Kakashi questions while I'm getting ready to leave.

"I must, Kakashi. There are other tailed beasts out there who need my protection. I will return eventually." I reply to him, putting some of my hair in pigtails.

It's been 2 days and it's about time I leave for further investigation. I have healed completely and Kakashi has as well. For now, he can sit back and relax since Yamato is taking control of squad 7 for the time being.

"When will I see you again?" Kakashi looks at me while I head to the door.

"I'm not sure. You know that each village takes 3 days to arrive there. But using my speed, it will won't be long. I'll surprise. Try to get some rest while I'm gone. Don't strain yourself."

"As you wish." He chuckles at the end of his sentence and I take my leave. I use my transportation jutsu to get me to my destination faster.

However, I am not going to look for tailed beast this time. I'm going to be paying a visit to a certain somebody. An enemy, and another child.

Using my speed to get to my destination, I sneak inside a hideout and walk down the dark hallway. I sense nobody in the hideout at the moment except for one person.

As I continue to walk, I stop in my tracks as a sword is near my shoulder from behind. So typical of a sneak attack. "You would dare attack your mother figure, Sasuke?" I slowly turn around and see the rogue ninja, Sasuke Uchiha.

His eyes widen when he sees me and withdraws his sword. "Akari? What are you doing here?"

"Checking on you, my dear child. I became your mother figure for a reason. Did you honestly think that I wouldn't come all this way to see you? Rouge ninja or not, you are still my precious child."

Sasuke pulls me into a tight embrace, burying his face in my shoulder. "I missed you. . ." He whispers.

I lift his head up, cupping both hands on both sides of his cheek, and say, "I will always return to my children. You are also important to me, Sasuke. Do not think otherwise. Come, let's have a little chat."

We go to his room and sit next to each other on his bed. "You look like you haven't aged a bit." Sasuke states.

"It's because I am immortal. I cannot age. These past 2 years I've been training, saving tailed beast, and looking into the Akatsuki. I only managed to destroy one of their hideouts. And it seems you haven't changed either."

"How so?"

"The curse mark on your neck. I assume you have control over it, yes?"

"Yeah." He nods his head.

". . .Sasuke. Everyone misses you at the leaf village, even Sakura. Although she is still annoying. Naruto, most of all, wants you back. To you it may seem that you both are rivals, but to Naruto, you are his best friend."

"Did he tell you this?" Sasuke begins to glare.

"No." I shake my head. "A mother knows her children best. Their emotions, thoughts, and many more. Although or you, there is still anger in your heart. So much rage coursing through your body. . . And I know that you keep it all in because of one person."

"Itachi Uchiha. . ." Sasuke says his brother's name laced with venom. He is still holding a grudge after all these years.

There is nothing I can do to change his mind. If this is his decision, then so be it. I will let him follow his own path. "Changing the subject, is Orochimaru treating you well?"

"We've been training." He bluntly says.

"Where are they now?"

"Out."
