Chapter 4.1 - Town of Fluiberg

After we finish our errands, I decided to escort Liana to her home.

We are chatting almost all the time until we get to her house east of the town.

We talk about what is like living here in town, some of the basic norms and values in this town.

I discovered the town of Fluiberg is under the Kingdom of Kataleya, a thousand year old monarchy.

I also learned where to buy essential things, like clothes and food, also a library and most importantly a place to stay.

Being a conservative nation, it is not allowed for a male and female without blood relation to live in a single roof, so it seems I will be staying in one of the inns.

I also did a coverup for me being an explorer, and it seems explorers have special letters that needs to be with them all the time, like an I.D. or a passport or some sort. So I need to be issued one in the town center.

There seems to be that there are an adveturers guild, just like an RPG game. But I am already committed to be an explorer, a part of my coverup, and also because explorers have more benefits like they can also be travelling merchants and more so.

After I dropped Liana to her home. I wander around the town before I head on one of the inns. And I stumbled upon on what will seems to be my most important item in this world.

The exploding crystal that I've been using as a replacement gunpowder for my bullets.

They are being sold by slaves and some of the old people in the slums. And as it turns out the crystals are one of the most disregarded item in this world. The crystals are formed by concetrating someones mana, as said by one of the old vendors.

I bought three sacks for me to be able to create more bullets or even a new one. And also to support them, the poor, I wasn't really able to help the poor back at Earth, and maybe this time I can make a difference.

Then I continued to the Inn which Liana suggested for me to stay in. The old fat man is very pleasing to guest and his delicacies are top notch.

I decided to spend days in the town before I move on other towns, I decided to go on a world tour, athing I haven't even done on Earth.

I have gold and silver for me to live half a year in this town without a job or a source of income.

I dive in the library for three days to learn more about this world, and to find a lead if I am not alone, there might be other persons from Earth who got transported.

And out of sheer coincidence I stumbled on one note on a very old encyclopedia.

It says in English.

"Fellow Earthling, Library of Bonclosa, Answers to your Questions"

A very interesting lead.

And it seems the Library of Bonclosa can be found halfway around this world.

A challenge it seems.

I spent two days improving and experimenting my guns. And it really seems that the quality of what I can modify depends on my level, I tried crafting a Bolt Action Rifle, but it is unperfect.

The guns also deteriorate over time when I don't conduct maintenance. Maintenace like basically reforming it back to my preffered shape.

The accuracy of the Winchester 94 and my Colt Revolver drastically improves. And I developed a two barrel shotgun to go with it.

I also head on one of the tailors to sew me new set of clothes. I also ordered a Cowboy sort of hat, holsters for revolvers, the strap for the rifle and shotgun and of course two sets of bandoliers.

I look like a Western Cowboy, with also a set of weapons typicallly found Western Cowboys.

My weapon invetory is as follows

1 - Winchester 94
3 - Colt Revolver
1 - Shotgun
And an imperfect copy of SMLE Mk.III*.

And as life seems to be peaceful before I head out.

Within the week I spent on the town of Fluiberg. I was engaged in courtship with Liana almost everyday where she works and at her home, by the way she works as a attendant of Aunt Rosia.

And it seems I have a rival for her.
