Chapter 6.1 - Camping

Navigating the path smugglers use to take was hard. Consudering our wagon is also pretty large and is drawn by two horses, so our progress in the forest is much slower compared to smugglers who used much smaller wagons and a single horse.

We needed to slip in to the Great Elven Kingdom undetected by the Kingdom of Willchem. We are wanted criminals after all.

Two days in and storm hit us, with torrential rains producing floods and the path now a murky mud pool, proceeding further is futile and is dangerous. Good thing we are near a stone formation and a cave.

Here we decided to let the storm pass. Also here is where I decided to taught Liana how to shoot a gun. She has basic knowledge about combat and using a bow and arrow but not really proficient.

So I decided to train her first on how to shoot the Colt Single Action Revolver. Good thing I stockpiled quite a number of .38 Special and some 12 Gauge shells.

She had a hard time mastering the Revolver but her skills proved to very acceptable, and the good thing is she can now also shoot.

I also taught her how to use the Winchester 94, and here she shows improvement over the Revolver.

"So I put the target between the iron sights, and pull the trigger", she nervously told out loud.

"Be careful on the recoil, or the aftershock", as I support her by physically correcting her aim.

She pulled the trigger and BANG!.

She hit the round red target across the cave.

Liana is happy on what she is learning. She can use a superior weapon able to even down mages and dozen soldiers.

Due to the lack of metal to "recreate" to gun parts. We stick to what we have.

In result I issued to her the CZ Coach Hammer side by side shotgun. She can use the shotgun as her primary weapon even while driving the wagon, as this weapon was primarily designed for such task. And also another Colt Revolver Single Action for her last line of defense.

The weather is only getting worse by the day. This gave me a lot of time to chat with Liana. And as her partner in crime, I need to tell her the truth about me.

At first she is surprised that I came from an another world. A world she couldn't even imagine.

Then I found a revelation to what she says, a clue to my question, "why am I here in this world?".

It seems that in the legend of this land. Persons from other world are summoned as supreme beings by magic by countries to aid them in desperate times.

And she pointed where it all began. The now defunct country of Bonclosa, it was defeated 30 years ago by the demonic race.

And it seems meeting the person who wrote the note at a book in the Town of Fluiberg would be impossible for me now.

The torrential rains never stops we are already 3 days in the cave. The wheels of the wagon is already partly sunk to the mud.

This only gave more time to spend with Liana. Teaching her more about the weapons we used, presented my ongoing project of a bolt action rifle. I also disclosed to her my abilities and level. And it seems that her level is half of mine, she is level 10, a civilian.

On the third night, the freezing wind is blowing hard. With only the bonfire keeping us warm. And this where our desires kick in.

I already know that I love Liana from our very first meeting. The time I spent with Liana only resulted to her falling to me.

And the limits we set up before were broken as we ourselves gave in to our desires. Both a first for us.

On the fourth day the rain stopped but we stay for another 2 days to let the ground to harden so that the wagon couldn't get stuck to a mud pool or something.

Days we spent on each others arms. And a mark that my previous pathetic life is over, and this comes a new colorful life!.
