The night passed by once again uneventful. And as the first light beacons from the mountain range, the Caravan makes it's way.
For the passed days, Karl is embroiled on a ongoing drama between his party members. With him inexperienced in such situation as he prefers to be alone back on his original world, he was left confused on what to do.
The Caravan has reached the great plains, from here it would only take 5 days to reach the Capital and a couple of days to reach one of the major towns.
Nataly and Liana is taking turns in driving the wagon. Meanwhile the 4 of us are playing my own version of "UNO" at the back.
"Master, it's surprising that you are losing on a game you made yourself.", Ilina told me as she lays her last card on the table.
"Master, why are you so bad on you're own game?", Isabel jokingly asked.
"Seriously why are you losing so bad for a game you invented?", Serefina said as she tries to hold her laughter.
"Argh, why indeed?", Karl replied.
Nataly then suddenly emerges from the wagon.
"You guys seems to have so much fun. Me and Liana are beginning to be curious at what are you doing.", Nataly then said.
"Oh, we're playing this new card game Master created.", Isabel then replied.
"And what's more fun about it is Karl keep on losing!", interjects Serefina.
The whole day passed by without any problems apart from some stopovers when some of the wagons need repairs.
And as the sun begun to set, Karl then gather up all his courage to fix the quarrel with Liana.
Liana was now resting in the leading edge of the wagon. Nataly and Serefina took over as the drivers, meanwhile the other two are busy sightseeing.
"Liana, can we talk?", I then asked.
She just nod a little, not giving any proper response.
"I'll take that as a yes then. First off, I am really sorry for how I acted these past days. I've contemplated on what you said and I was really surprised at myself. It's like I was living this life as just a dream, neglecting what everyone feels, what 'you' feels.", Karl then said.
Liana then began to smile a little, but still unresponsive.
"Liana, I've might been a jerk to you and everyone else without me noticing it. So please, for me to atone for you, give me a chance to change.", I then replied.
"You know, I am also stupid. You are a jerk but still I am sticking with you. And I believe you can still grow, we can still grow as individuals.", Liana then replied with a little tear in her eyes.
To signal their reconciliation, Karl then gave Liana a big hug.
But then.
The sirens, large trumpets from the guards, began to ring.
"ENEMY AHEAD!", shouts someone from the front wagon.
Then it was followed by a series of explosion. Wrecking the whole caravan.
Karl was sent flying when their wagon receives a direct hit sending it also flying.
Then the whole Caravan broke into chaos. Karl was dizzy as he hits a rock when he was sent flying.
From his dizzy eyes, he can see and hear the gunfire his party was making.
He tried to get up, but he can't.
Blood was already hindering his eyesight. He reached for his handgun and began to aim to the large wolfpack that is now wrecking the whole Caravan.
The setting sun bare witness to the chaos that is evolving.
Karls party began to group up as they fell in a disarray early on.
"Ilina get over here! It's too dangerous, let's regroup first!", Serefina shouted as she unleashed a dozen rounds towards the attacking wolfs.
"The whole Caravan is breaking apart we need to retreat now, Ilina!", Liana also shouted.
"Master is missing, we can't leave him behind!", Ilina replied as she looks for the whereabouts of his Master.
Nataly was then busy attending to Isabel who was injured from the first onslaught.
"I am fine, Ilina! Let's retreat and regroup!", Karl shouted from the top of his lungs as he unleashed the full mag of his pistol from an attacking wolf.
But as soon as Ilina tried to approach the party. A large wolf then appeared from nowhere, with his big jaws ready to snatch the poor Ilina.
Seeing this, Liana sprints into action, leaping towards Ilina, in act to save her. But instead she was the one who was snatched by the large wolf.
Seeing this, Karl then shouted, "LIANA!"
