Arthur made it back to the Heartlands - destination home. Home. Who would've thought home would be a bunch people and not a place. All this time he was looking for home and it was right in front of his face. Sure they had their fair share of problems, but didnt a lot of people?

He slowed down when he came to the edge of town. It was good to be back, but Lord was it hot. He slowed Walker down to a trot and finally to a stop, he quickly discarded his jacket and stuffed it in one of his saddle bags. He rolled up his sleeves and heaved a sigh.

"C'mon boy." He clicked his tongue and tapped his sides with the stirrups.

The horse cruised past the edge of town, he saw a few people he knew, they greeted him per usual - depending on their mood was how nice of a greeting he got.

Once a good enough distance away, Arthur kicked the horse into a full run. He was way too eager to get back, trotting him was only delaying the inevitable.

When he saw the turn for the camp, he smiled to himself. Home. He slowed Walker down again and he snorted his appreciation.

"Who's there?" Lenny called out.

He rolled his eyes."Arthur....dumbass."

Lenny laughed."Good to see you back."

"Good to be back." He trotted into camp and it was as if nothing happened since he left.

He tied Walker to the hitching post and began taking the saddle off of him. He needed a break and a good brushing. Jack ran over to Arthur and grabbed ahold of his leg, Arthur chuckled and bent down to pick up the boy.

"Where'd you go Uncle Arthur?"

"Had to run a few errands. But I'm back now." He smiled.

Jack made a face."You stink."

"Guess I need a bath, huh?"

Jack nodded."Use lots of soap."

Arthur laughed and set Jack back down on the ground. He hurried back to his mom or to the new dog that wondered into camp. Arthur lifted the saddle off of Walker and placed it on the hitching post. He grabbed the brush off the ground and started brushing his back.

He snorted.

"Yeah, boy." He patted his neck.

"Arthur? Where'd you run off to?" John questioned, coming up behind him.

He shrugged."Needed some time to think about a few things."

John leaned in."Is it that new girl?"

"Dont know what you're talkin' about."

"Sure ya do. Lenny saw you two fuckin' down by the lake."

Arthur heaved a sigh."We weren't...look we were just kissin' ain't nothin' to it."

"Must've been somethin' for you to run off like that."

"Just needed time to think." He chuckled and turned to John."...Was almost forced into gettin' married."

John arched a brow."Really now?"

"Some mormon family, I think. Never really found out. But she was willin' to marry her daughter off to me." He snorted."I left real quick."

John chuckled."Some strange folk out that way."

"Wouldnt of met them if not for that storm."

"Yeah that's was pretty bad here too." He clapped Arthur on the back."Glad you're home, we was worried about ya." His eyes crossed the camp."Especially the new girl."
