Chapter 12: Cancer

"Who's that?" Cancer asked, as three people barged into the room. One was a boy with navy hair different eye colours like Libra had.

They were all currently in the kitchen, Virgo making them tea. The three burst through the doors, like they were about to kill some burglars.

Cancer guessed that the boy was Gemini - he was exactly the way Virgo described him: tall, pale skin, unblemished and a long, dirty blue jacket that showed his skinny forearms.

She had no idea who the two girls in armour were though.

They were both stunning - one was regal, with short blonde hair and piercing free eyes, her armour the colour of the ocean. The other was much more relaxed, but had the same stone cold eyes, this time blue in colour. She had the most luxurious hair Cancer had ever seen!

"Virgo!" The greeted the Virgo with a smile, going over and pulling him into a hug. "Who're your friends?" He eyed the rest of us.

"I could say the same," Virgo replied, patting him on the back. Cancer knew he was awkward with affection - he always blushed when a small compliment was fired his way.

The two girls put away their blades and Cancer took a liking to them instantly.

"I'm Scorpio, and this is Aquarius. We're demonhunters and Gemini will be one of us."

Cancer looked over at Azula who was looking them with widened eyes.

"Well, I'm Virgo, this is Azula, Cancer, Libra and a girl called Sagittarius is in the shower. We're all going to be training to be demonhunters," Virgo explained.

Scorpio raised an eyebrow. "You mean to tell me you're these other so called chosen ones?" She asked. Her voice was kind of strict and regal, but it hid some warmth and kindness that Cancer knew were there.

"Yes, they are. I thought Nyx would be with you. No doubt she's putting Midnight in the stables and is already aware of me being here," Azula spoke.

Cancer looked back at forth between them, suddenly realising something...

Scorpio was a miniature Azula! Well, kind of a miniature Azula and from what she could see, anyway.

"Wait, me and Virgo don't have to say goodbye?" Gemini asked, looking around the rest of the group.

"This one isn't much of a listener, is he?" Cancer asked to laughter. She didn't even mean it to be funny - she was stating the obvious!

"What was your plan in coming here?" Gemini asked. "We came since there's a super strong we have to kill since it threatens the entire city."

"We came because these guys are in a circus troupe and are known as the Asterias, who sing beautiful songs and entice and enthrall the crowd. They wanted to perform one more song before we went off to training," Virgo explained.

"There's a demon that needs to be killed?" Cancer asked excitedly. Azula had begun training them on the road, but she really wanted to put her skills to the test. Even though she had been training for the better part of only three days.

"Who?" Azula asked. "We should be able to help you."

"Erm... Scorpio? Aqua? A little help?" Gemini turned to the two of them. The purple haired one rolled her eyes at him.

"Her name's Evelyn and don't listen to Gemini. He'd be less than useless in a fight against her. He's not going anywhere near her."

"You are welcome to join us, however, if you desire. We heard rumours she was planning a full scale assault on this place. We don't know when, though."
