Thea had found out about the student organization that Hermione and Harry had started called Dumbledore's Army during the Christmas holidays. Everyone who knew about it quickly encouraged her to join. Many stories of the spells they had learnt and duels that had taken place had spilled out of the excited teenagers. Thea had quickly discovered that many of the spells that they had learnt where very similar to the spells she had already taught herself throughout the year. Harry had invited her to the next session they were holding after the holidays ended, just to see if she liked it. Everyone trusted Thea enough to let her know where the meeting was held, confident that she wouldn't ever share the information with anyone else.
That was were Thea found herself on a Thursday night, outside the Room of Requirement watching as a door appeared in the middle of a blank wall before letting her pass in. The minute she walked in her senses were overwhelmed, people were duelling while others cheered them on, Harry was talking quietly to Hermione probably about the lesson plan. Thea headed over to George who was watching his brother duel Lee as well as cheering with the rest when either of them cast a spell.
Thea slightly pulled down on his jumper trying to get his attention because they were no way he would be able to hear her over all the noise.
"Oh, hi." George said smiling at her.
"Whose winning?" Thea almost shouted.
"I think Fred." George replied as Lee was thrown into a wall, luckily mats had been put there to try and soften the blow, but it would have definitely been a shock.
"Alright, everyone, today we are going to learn about the Patronus charm and hopefully by the end of this lesson you should all be able to conjure one." Harry started.
Thea smiled to herself, she had managed to successfully conjure a Patronus a few weeks ago but hadn't been able to practice since.
George nudged Thea slightly. "What are you smiling about?"
"Nothing."
"Come on. You can tell me."
"I'm sure you'll find out later."
"Really?"
"Yep. Now shut up, I'm trying to listen to Harry."
Harry continued with his explanation of the spell but with George nudging her constantly trying to get her attention, so he could find out what she was smiling about, Thea really didn't understand much. But by the time it came for them to practice the spell, Thea eagerly jumped up before heading to a corner to conjure the spell by herself.
Thea watched as everyone's Patronus danced through the room, their owners following them with a smile on their faces. She walked over to Harry who was watching everyone as well, a smile clear on his face.
"Hi, Harry."
"Oh, hi Thea."
"What are you doing?"
"Just watching everyone, they all seem so happy."
"Yeah." Thea agreed.
"Remus taught me how to conjure one." Harry began looking to Thea. "In my third year."
"Really? What is your Patronus?"
Harry casted the spell and Thea stood shocked as a silver stag shot out of the end of his wand, prancing around the room.
"Wow."
"I know." Harry said with a slight chuckle. "It's the same as my dad's."
"Really? That's so cool!" Thea replied.
"I know. Who taught you?"
"What do you mean?"
"Who taught you how to conjure a Patronus? I just assumed because you haven't casted one yet and I remember you talking about it during the holidays."
"Well, I mostly taught myself but Remus did help me towards the end but I did do it by the myself a few weeks ago when we got back into the castle after the holidays."
"What is it?"
"What?" Thea asked confused.
"What is your Patronus?"
Thea turned slightly red before shaking her head slightly.
"Oh, come on, Thea. It can't be that bad, I mean Ron's is a Jack Russell. It can't be much worse than that." Harry said with a chuckle.
"Um...a stork." Thea muttered.
"What was that Thea? Didn't quite hear you?"
"It's a stork."
"A what?"
"A stork, you know big bird with wings." Thea held her arms out as if to signify wings and flapped them up and down, Harry just laughed clearly amused by Thea's attempt at being a stork.
"Can I see it?"
"Sure." Thea tried to think of a happy memory, although they were far and few in between nowadays, she focused on the memory that had worked last time before calling out the spell. "Expecto Patronum!"
The stork streamed out of her wand, doing a triumphant fly around the room before returning to her and disappearing.
"Wow." It was now Harry's turn to be amazed.
"What was that?"
Harry and Thea both turned to see Fred and George standing there, one with an expression of wonder and pride while the other had an expression of pure amusement. I'll let you decide who had which expression.
"It's a stork, Fred."
"A stork?" He asked, laughing.
"I think it's pretty cool, actually." George said.
"You do?" Thea asked.
"I do, it's unique like you Thea." George and Thea just smiled at each other while Fred and Harry just stood there awkwardly before Fred cleared his thought.
Thea quickly snapped out of it, shaking her head slightly. "Well then, if you are going to such an idiot about the whole thing, Fred. What are your Patronus's?" Thea asked looking to Fred and George.
"Mine is a hyena." Fred started.
"And mine is a coyote." George continued.
Thea took one look at the two before promptly bursting into laughter. While Fred, George and Harry just stood there watching Thea having her laughter fit. Between laughs, Thea did manage to get a few words out.
"You....and you......oh it's just so perfect!"
