** Jamie's POV **
"Ugh, I'm starting to break out," I whined as I leaned closer to the mirror. There was the beginning of a pimple on my forehead. "Ugh. The wedding is in like three days."
I rolled my eyes and proceeded to take my contacts out. Once I was done, I pushed the bathroom door open, made my way down the hall, and into Danny's room. He was lying back against the pillows as he looked at his phone. Clay was lying on Danny's legs, looking quite sleepy.
Sometimes I swore, that Danny was only with me for Clay. It seemed unfair at times.
Danny looked up as I made my way into the room. "I can't believe we're getting so much closer to Jules and Pens wedding," I said as I peeled the covers back and slid into bed next to Danny. I could already feel the heat radiating off his body.
He put his phone down and nodded. "I know. When we went to the gym today, Jules was talking about being nervous, but he said that he's more sure than he's ever been about anything in his entire life," Danny said with a small smile. "It's good to see him with his life figured out. He's been so happy lately, and I think he'll only be getting happier."
I nodded. "Pen was running around like a wild woman today in the office," I said and giggled. "She had me call the wedding planner like four times to confirm stuff. I swear, Hillary rolled her eyes every time I called. I feel bad for her, she probably deals with that all the time."
Danny smiled and nodded. "I think Julian is happy he doesn't really have to deal with any of that. I also think he thinks if he screws anything up, he'll get his head chewed off. The man loves Pen, but he's terrified of bridezilla." Danny chuckled and rolled his eyes.
I giggled and nodded. "I don't blame him. She was scolding him on the phone the other day when I went to give her some of her papers. I would not have wanted to be on that end of the phone," I said and rolled my eyes. "But, I think that's the problem with having big weddings with a lot of people. There's just so much more that could go wrong. And they have a rather large bridal party."
Danny nodded. "Yeah, that's what my cousin was saying when I went to his wedding back in Texas last year. He said that the wedding planner said right out that if they wanted a big wedding it would be a lot more stressful than a small wedding," Danny replied. "And he said that was one thing he would've changed... Probably inviting like fifty less people."
"Yeah... I think if I ever get married, I won't want many people there. Especially since I live in Boston now, I don't have many friends around here, and don't have many from back home, either," I said as I leaned back into the pillows and looked into Danny's brown eyes.
"U-Uh... Yeah... I mean, I know quite a few people," Danny said and trailed off, brown eyes looking back at me with a look I couldn't identify.
"Plus, if there's a lot of people, that'd mean that I would be risking tripping in front of tons of people," I said and let out a sigh. "That's honestly my biggest worry for Jules and Pen's wedding. I don't want to be that person who ruins it."
"Oh, you won't trip, babe. You'll be fine. Besides, Gronk won't let you fall," he said, then leaned over, and draped an arm over my shoulder so he could pull me into him.
I rested my head on his bare chest and let my eyes fall shut. "It's just a big worry of mine. I-I just don't want to ruin their day, and I don't want to be the laughing stock of 150 people," I whispered as I wrapped my arm around him to pull myself closer to him.
"You won't fall," Danny said, placing a kiss in my hair. "I know you're nervous... But you'll be fine. I mean you walk into meetings with twenty big bosses from the Boston area multiple times a week. You'll be completely fine."
I shook my head and pulled back a bit, so I could look back into his eyes. "Danny, I wear flats at work, Pen's having us wear heels for the wedding. I seriously cannot walk in heels," I said and sucked in a breath. "Ugh. I'm so gonna fall. Thank god I have flats for the reception."
Danny shook his head. "No, you're not going to fall, Jame. Trust me... Here... I got it... The next two days, wear the heels around the house and maybe even the office and you'll be golden come the wedding," he said.
I sighed and nodded. "O-Okay," I mumbled. "Ugh, I just don't wanna ruin it for Pen and Jules," I said the panic in my chest rising a bit.
"Oh, you won't ruin their day, Jame. You'll be fine..." Danny said, one of his large hands moved up to cup my cheek. "Plus think," he whispered as he leaned in to place a peck on my lips. His eyes were sparkling once he pulled away. "You'll be at the perfect height to kiss me."
I rolled my eyes and rested my head back on his chest, looking down at Clay, who was quietly looking up at the two of us from the foot of the bed. "Clay, come here," I said and opened my arm, motioning for him to move up on the bed.
Clay perked up and crawled up the bed, right into my arms. "Hi buddy. Do you think Danny is silly? Huh? I don't think it matters my height for kissing, huh? What do you think?"
Clay yapped at me, then pulled from my arms to get to Danny and begin licking his face. "Why does he like you so much more than me?" I whined. "He's my dog!"
"But Jame," Danny said as he held Clay to him. "Dog is a Man's best friend! Besides, you're his Mama... You can't be his best friend, so that leaves me to be his best friend!"
I rolled my eyes and pulled away from him. "Ugh, why you gotta be like that," I said and put a fake pout on my face. "You stole my own dog from me!"
Danny chuckled and shook his head. "Not my fault this little dude enjoys ear rubs from me rather than you," Danny said, a big smile on his face.
"Don't you love me," I asked, my eyes wide, my pout still on my face.
"Of course I do," Danny said as he leaned over to pull me back into him. "I mean, You're beautiful, wonderful to snuggle with, not bad in bed..." I whacked him in the chest and rolled my eyes. "And you're mine. I wouldn't have him if it weren't for you, Jame... I'd take you over Clay any day."
"You mean that," I asked looking into those beautiful brown eyes of his.
"Of course I do," He said and dipped down to place a kiss on my nose. "I love you, Jame. I wouldn't have it any other way. If you think you're getting rid of me anytime soon, you're sorely mistaken."
"Who said I wanted to get rid of you," I asked with a smile. "I've already been apart from you and couldn't take it... I think it'll be impossible to want to get rid of you."
Danny chuckled and hugged me to him. "God, I love you, Jamie... So, so much."
"I love you, too, Danny, even if you steal my dog from me."
