** Jamie's POV **

The elevator doors slid open and we walked through them. "I'm sorry I made you come in with me today. It's probably not how you wanted to celebrate your free Sunday before the season starts," I said as I grasped Danny's hand and looked over at him.

He smiled and shrugged. "It's okay, babe. I know you normally don't pull me here on our days off together," he said. "Besides, I don't mind coming back to the place where it all kinda started." He had a big goofy smile on his face.

I giggled and shook my head. "Yeah..." I pulled Danny along with me and stopped at my desk. "Just go into the conference room... I will be right in there, I've gotta grab the paperwork that I need to fix up."

"Alright," he said, yanking on my hand to pull me into him. "Gimme a kiss first though," he whispered with a smile. He wrapped his arms around my waist and held me there. His big brown eyes were looking back down at me. I swear I could've melted.

I leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips. "Okay! Now get in there so I can get my work done! Then we can get home in time to take Clay out for a walk before dinner."

He dramatically rolled his eyes and let out a small scoff. "Ugh! Fine!" He groaned as he pulled away and made his way into the conference room next to my desk.

I shook my head and picked up the laptop that was on my desk as well as the three contracts that I needed to correct. Once I had it all, I moved back into the conference room where Danny was standing at the ceiling to floor windows, looking out at the beautiful view of Boston. "Beautiful, ain't it," I asked as I placed my stuff down on the table.

Danny quickly turned around with a smile on his face. He nodded. "Yeah, babe, you are," he said with a small chuckle at the end. His smile was absolutely perfect.

"Oh shut up. You know I meant the view." I moved over so I was standing next to him and looking out the window. "God, I love the Prudential Tower. It is by far my favorite building ever," I told him. "When my family would come here during the summers for family vacation, my cousin and I would always have a shopping spree day there then go to the food court and pig out on Panda Express or Regina Pizzeria." I smiled and crossed my arms over my chest. "Those really were the days."

Danny smiled as he draped an arm over my shoulders and held me to him. "Sounds like a good time... You know you don't talk much about your family too much," he pointed out as he let out a soft sigh. "I've only heard a bit about the farm."

I let out a sigh and moved over to the conference room table. I slid into the sear and opened up the laptop. "Most of my dads family from around here has either passed on or moved to places like Florida or California," I said. "We all used to be so close... Then we all grew apart. I guess that's apart of getting older though." I sat there and shook my head, silent for a second. "I never thought I'd move out here... Well... I'd always wanted to move out here, but never thought it could've been a real option... That was when I got accepted into the communications program at Boston University."

Danny slid into a seat adjacent to me. "Did you graduate?" Danny asked with an eyebrow raised. "I've never heard you talk about college. And you're not exactly working a true communications job."

That was when I realized we'd known each other for over a year, and we'd never really talked about my personal life too much. Mostly because I was never too comfortable with it. In a way I was kinda embarrassed.

"No, I didn't." I sighed, licking my lips. I felt kind of weird explaining it out loud for the first time ever. "I had straight A's... But I began to run out of money and decided to drop out and get a fulltime job. That was when I found this place... Mr. Murphy was great... Not the best, but he surely was a good employer. It was actually because of him, I didn't end up on the streets... And then he sold the company. Nick give me a three percent raise... That was when I decided to get Clay, so I wasn't as lonely... I don't think I'll be finishing school, but that's okay... I've got a stable job, a great boyfriend, and a cute little dude at home."
