"Ugh. How much longer until we get there?" Danny whined as he threw his head back.

We were currently in the back of an Uber, three quarters of the way to the hospital. When we ran off the field, he made me wait in his locker while he showered up.

"Chill," I said as I shook my head. I reached over to grab his hand, which was sweaty. "Wow. Why is your hand so sweaty?!"

He picked his head up and rolled his eyes. "I'm nervous! I can't wait to meet the little guy! And I hope everything is okay with Pen! There's a one point five percent chance that there could be fatal complications," Danny rattled off. His eyes were wide and full of worry.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. "Both her and the little guy will be completely fine," I told him.

"I really hope so. I'm so nervous... so scared... and so excited," he told me with a small sigh. "He's gonna be perfect, no doubt, but he'll be my godson. That's just crazy to me."

I smiled at him and squeezed his hand again.

When we got to the hospital, Danny practically dragged me up to the floor where we were supposed to be meeting Jules once we could see the baby. Of course, the baby still wasn't born, so we had to wait around in the waiting room.

No one we knew was around, which meant Penny was in the delivery room with Jules, Nick, Allie, and Amelia... or they were all still getting Penny settled. I couldn't imagine Penny wanting all those people around... Lord knows I'd be annoyed in two seconds.

After about ten minutes of waiting, I let out a huff and looked up to Danny who was pacing the floor. "Danny!" I grumbled through gritted teeth.

He stopped dead in his tracks and looked at me with big brown nervous eyes and arched eyebrows. "What?" He asked. His voice was so small I almost missed it.

I let out a long sigh and let my shoulders droop. I closed my eyes, ran a hand through my hair and looked back up at him. He was still looking back at me. "I know you're nervous," I began, "but could you please sit down? You're driving me crazy right now."

After a second, he nodded and slid next to me on the bench style chair. As I leaned into him, he reached over and grabbed my hand from my lap. It was brought up to his mouth where he placed a small kiss on it. "Thank you," he whispered.

"For what?" I asked as I pulled my head from his shoulder so I could look at him.

Tired, content brown eyes were looking back at me. "Thank you for being you. Thank you for being here for me," he said. His hand squeezed mine a bit harder. "I really appreciate it. I love you."

I smiled up at him and gave him a small nod. "I love you, too. I've already told you, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in life. You're it Danny," I replied as I placed a kiss on his cheek. "Now take a nap. We're both tired. And it won't be good to see the baby while you're over tired."

"But I w-..."

"No buts. Now go to sleep my SuperBowl Champ. I'm sure someone will wake us when we can go see Pen."

"Hey Jamie," a hushed voice said.

My eyes snapped open. Where was I? Why was my pillow so warm? I farted up and looked around.

"Oh shit! How long have we been asleep?" I questioned as I noticed Danny next to me, eyes still shut.

I looked back toward the person the voice that woke me up belonged to. Julian. My eyes went wide as I whacked Danny in the chest to wake him up.
