Danny's been through a lot. So has Jamie. The two were brought together by Julian Edelman and his Fiancé. But after a while things went sour. Jamie feared that Danny's old flame, Olivia, would come back and steal his heart.
Jamie broke things off w...
I'm sorry there was no actual update last Thursday. The fourth completely did me in at work and I was fried, both figuratively and literally. Anyway, please enjoy! :)
** Jamie's POV **
I rolled my eyes as the cab driver oh so slowly shifted the car into park. "Thank you for the ride," I mumbled as I practically threw a 20 at him and slid out of the car. He stopped at almost every light and refused to go through any yellow lights, which added at least 5 minutes on to the drive. I really would've been better off driving.
It was 6:23 and Danny and I had dinner reservations at 7:00. Boston traffic was always a thing, so we should've already been on the road, and I was nowhere near ready for dinner. I practically ran up and steps and shoved the key into the door. Once unlocked, I pushed it open and moved into the house.
Clay's head popped up from the couch and he looked at me. I slid off my shoes and dropped my purse on the floor, moved up to Clay, scratched behind his ears, and gave him a kiss. "Where is daddy? Is he getting ready already? No? He's already ready? I know," I mumbled with a playful eye roll. "I'm late. I gotta go change!" I placed another kiss on his head and moved down the hall, toward the bedroom.
I moved in and closed the door behind me as I pulled my blouse over my head. "Woah... Not till later, Jame! We need to go to dinner," Danny's voice said from the bathroom.
I stomped my way to the closet as I discarded my shirt toward him. "Ugh, shut up," I mumbled as I went straight to the closet and began looking through all of my clothes. It was going to be a nice dinner... And I didn't have anything good to wear. "The fucking Taxi driver took forever."
The sound of Danny moving behind me echoed around the room, and the next thing I knew was long, muscular arms were wrapped around my waist and I was held back against a slightly taller and warmer frame. "I think you'd look good in the kelly green dress," he mumbled as he placed a kiss on my neck. His stubble tickled my sensitive skin.
I giggled and shook my head. "One, why should I wear it... And two... how do you know the type of green that it is," I asked as I pulled from his arms and continued to flip through my dresses.
He sat down on the bed and let out a sigh. "Well, the green is wonderful on your beautiful skin, and the green works so well will your hair-- especially with your highlights from the summer... And it brings out the color in your eyes... And I know the color because I took a few art classes in my life time."
I rolled my eyes as I stopped at the purple dress I had worn in my best friend's wedding two years before hand. "I think I'm feeling this one... I wore it for Katie's wedding," I mumbled. I took if off the hanger and held it up.

"You could wear anything, babe," Danny mumbled. "That is an excellent choice. And purple is one of your favorite colors." I nodded as I turned around and faced him for the first time since I got home.
