Can't Get Enough | Danny Amendola

Chapter 56

Important question at end of chapter!

It had been two weeks since Danny and I's little argument. We were beginning to patch things up again, but it didn't seem to go as smoothly as the both of us had hoped. We still weren't seeing eye to eye.

Of course Penny has found out what happened through Julian who found out through Danny. And of course, she decided— and convinced Julian— one of the best ways for us to 'become one' was to work together.

So Danny, Julian and I were currently sitting in the Edelman's living room as Julian cradled Leo in his arms. He didn't want to let the little guy go— but he knew Penny was looking forward to a night of some them time.

"I can't thank you guys enough for watching him for us tonight. It feels like forever since we've been out to dinner together," Penny thanked as  she same into the room and put the diaper bag down right next to the baby carrier on the ground. She sat down next to Julian and looked down at her sleepy son.

He had light blonde hair, thin pink lips, and a nose very much like Penny's. The two of them couldn't be happier. He will be a dapper looking kid once he's grown.

"Well, I couldn't say no," Danny said with a large smile. "I need some bonding time with my godson."

He had no clue about the plan Penny and Julian hatched... Then again, why would he wanna roll with it? The last time they hatched a plan it didn't go the best...

Penny looked up with a smile. "Even if he didn't ask me first," I joked. "Good thing I took a nap before we came here."

Danny rolled his eyes as he grabbed ahold of my hand. "You know you want all the time you can get with him, babe! Especially since he doesn't know how to mouth off yet," he joked.

This was the happiest he's been since before our fight. It was kind of relieving.

Julian chuckled lightly from the couch. "Where the heck would he learn that from? No one mouths off around here."

Penny quickly turned toward him and rolled her eyes. "Oh shush! You do all the time."

A smile made its way onto Julian's lips.

"Okay," Penny sighed as she took little Leo into her arms. "I love you, baby boy. I'll see you tomorrow. Be good for Uncle Danny and Aunt Jamie." She dipped down and placed a kiss on his forehead.

Penny slowly slid him back into Julian's arms. Julian began talking to Leo as Pen stood. Both Danny and I stood as well. Penny bent down and grabbed the diaper bag that was loaded with everything we would need.

"Here ya go. Just remember to put the milk in the fridge when you get to your place. We really appreciate this. Thank you again," Penny said as she handed me the bag.

"It's no problem at all," Danny answered. He wrapped an arm over my shoulders and pulled me into him. "Thank you for trusting us with him." He probably felt like such a proud dad... He wasn't even close to being one.

Before Penny could say anything, Julian, who just slid Leo into his carrier snorted. "Man, we don't trust you, we trust Jamie."

Pennu rolled my eyes again and whacked him in the chest. "Who doesn't mouth off?"

"Ow! Baby!" Julian playfully pouted as he rubbed his chest.

"Alright then, I think that's our cue to leave. Have fun with you first post baby argument," I said as I quickly pulled from Danny and made my way toward the door.

Danny chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Gimme that cutie... And then y'all can do whatever you'd like. We will let you know if we need anything. Have a good night."
