Mikasa pov

After Eren asked me to be his girlfriend we started to do things that normal couples do. Dates, hugging, kissing, telling people we're a couple! It's such a peaceful and happy time for us and the best part is... Hitch hasn't been to school since we got together. I can't help but worry about her though. I hope she's okay. I know I shouldn't but I feel like at any moment something will go wrong.  I want to be ready for it because I feel like I'm ready for anything now. I've been through so much to be with Eren maybe not things will be easier.

Sasha was the happiest when we told our friends a lot of them didn't really care and they said they saw it coming and it was no surprise. But Sasha freaked.  She ran around hugging everyone and stealing chocolate bars from classmates who weren't looking.

They eventually noticed and tried to find the thief but when it comes to food Sasha is a genius they'll never find out she took it. Sasha returned to us and held out her hand to Connie. "Pay. Up. " she said.

Connie rolled his eyes and pulled a twenty dollar bill out of his pocket. He told me he had no money... He should've bought me ramen.  I pout but it quickly fades when I look at Eren who looks the happiest out of anyone.

Before we could continue our conversation the teacher shushed us and made us pay attention to the things on the board. I looked around the classroom. No sign of Hitch that's kind of strange.  I tap Sasha's shoulder.  "Have you seen Hitch at all lately?" I ask curiously.  She looked at me and almost everyone around us did too.  I just thought they also wanted to know where Hitch was but instead I got many different answers to my question.

"She moved"

"She got expelled "

"She's hiding in the bathroom"

"No she isn't"

"She died"

"Yes she is I saw her in there "

"She's probably whining to her dad"

"Why would she hide in the bathroom she's too afraid of public bathrooms and commoners"

"Well why would she be dead hmm?"

"Yeah if she were dead they would have it on the news or something "

"And why would she be hiding? "

" I don't know maybe someone accidentally touched her in the hallway and she told everyone she was sexually harassed"

"Ah come on I thought she stopped doing that last year"

"What would she be whining to her dad about"

There was a loud cough that broke up the conversation between all the kids but Sasha and Eren. I turned to see that Eren coughed. He looked at everyone.  "Be quiet I'm trying to work stop worrying about Hitch she'll be back soon"

How does he know that?  I wanted to ask Eren if he knew where Hitch was because he was her now ex boyfriend. But I also want to give him space he was clearly upset by everyone talking about her. So I just sat back and tried to listen to the teacher.

"Actually I don't know where she is" Sasha whispered to me making sure Eren couldn't hear she leaned in closer.  "I saw her run out of the school a few weeks ago. She wasn't angry or anything she was... crying like real tears I don't know where she is but I want to know what happened that day"

Oh no. That time we spent together in the bathroom. The messages weren't real but her emotions were. I need to speak to Hitch as soon as possible. I make plans in my head to talk to Hitch as soon as possible.

But none of that matters right now. Eren and I are under a cherry blossom tree. It's spring so the colors are bright and so beautiful. It's so beautiful that it put Eren to sleep.  I sit next to him and work on our homework for the day. We stay there for a little while and I finish the homework. I don't want to wake Eren not when he looks this innocent and peaceful. So I tell myself to stay here a few more minutes and I pull out a book to read. I get too caught up in the book I don't realize that the sun is setting, and I surely don't realize that Eren is awake and watching it.  I was about to turn the page when he said "It's gorgeous isn't it? " I nearly jump out of my skin hearing his calm tired voice. "T-The sun? " I ask he shakes his head "No the sky"  I look up.

The orange and pick sky that's slowly covering the once baby blue sky. The sun slowly disappearing. The glow of the sky makes the cherry blossom flowers look a little more of a tangerine color. It was gorgeous and I would've noticed if my head wasn't stuck in my silly book.

I sigh and lean my head on Eren's shoulder.  "It's gorgeous " I nod smiling.  Eren stretched and yawned. "How long was I out for? " he asked. I shrug "mmm a few hours " I stretch too. He stands up and holds out his hand for me. "Alright I'll walk you home now yeah? " I smile and stand with his help. We start walking in the direction of my house. We didn't say much on the way there. We just enjoyed the comfortable silence and pumpkin sky.

When we got to my house I gave Eren one last hug. But it lasted forever. I don't know why I'm going to miss him he isn't moving away or anything he just has to go to his home and sleep. I'll see him tomorrow at school and if I'm lucky he'll be right here in the morning to walk me.  I pull away from the hug and kiss him.  "I'll call you tomorrow okay? " I smile and nod. "I'll look forward to it " he kisses me again and says his last goodbye.  I open my house door and go inside. I look around.  It's so quiet in here it hasn't been quiet lately with all my new friends I sit on the couch and close my eyes enjoying how quiet it is.  "All right I'm all done! " I hear a loud cheerful voice and I jump up in fear.  I turn to see my maid.  I put my hand over my heart and she laughs "I'll be back next week dear " I nod as she leaves.

I eventually get tired so I go up to my bedroom and change clothes.  I'll shower in the morning I guess.  I lay down in bed and close my eyes. I fall asleep pretty quickly.

When I open my eyes against it's dark there's a small amount of light coming from my phone and I hear my ringtone.  I decide to ignore it but then I realize it could be Eren. I look at the time.  4:37am.  Eren did say he would call me in the morning but I didn't think he meant this early.  I sit up and rub my eyes answering the phone half awake. "Hello? " I yawn after. "Hello is this Mikasa Ackerman? "
