"So what do we do if someone comes up here?" Tyler asks, dropping what I assume to be his sleepover bag on the floor beside my bed before throwing himself onto it. "Am I jumping out of the window, hiding under the bed? What's the game plan?"

I'm so happy to see him after everything that happened today. I want to feel guilty about what I had to do, but I can't bring myself to since Jena almost made me lose him once already.

I throw myself on top of him, laying my head on his chest as I curl up on it. "I have a walk-in closet," I say after a moment. "You'll stay there until they leave, and then come back to me!"

Tyler laughs quietly, letting his heavy arm fall around me before I feel him nod his head. We sit for a few moments in silence just feeling each other's embrace.

He's is the first to break the silence.

"It smells like a dude in here, Hayden." he says, his tone flat and borderline monotone.

It takes me off guard, and for a second I even question if I'd heard him right.

Is he talking about Dom? There's no way it still smells like 'trying too hard' in here.

His breathing remains the same, and he doesn't push me off of him or even release his grip on me.

There's no way he could be talking about that...

"She's not going to smell you from downstairs, and all the way across the house." I quickly respond, hoping he's still going on about his concerns over sneaking in.

He’s silent for a few seconds, his hand softly trailing my back before he halts in the middle of it and lets out a small sigh.

"That's not what I'm talking about..." he says, slightly shifting beneath me until he can sit up on his elbows to look at me. "It smells like cologne in here. Not mine either."

My heart stops in my chest, but I try to maintain my composure and let out a small laugh. "I'm sorry?" I say, twisting my face up in confusion as if I'm truly questioning why he'd think that. "Maybe it stuck on me from the meeting I had earlier? I don't know?"

Ty's brows flatten immediately, and he finally pushes me off of him to sit himself up.

"C'mon Hayden, don't treat me like I'm fucking stupid!" he says without missing a beat.

I follow suit, sitting up though I think I'm ready to just go and hide at this point.

Why would anything involving Jena actually work out for Hayden? Why did I ever think that was a possibility? She's tainting my life slowly, but surely- and this time I think it's really going to take its toll.

There's no way I'm getting out of this.

"I just had a friend over earlier, that's all." I bring myself to say, my voice weak and almost defeated.

Ty let's out a loud sigh, his face growing angrier though he's keeping himself rather composed. "A guy friend, I see." He responds almost immediately. "Was it the ex-boyfriend? Did you really bring him-"

I cut him off before he can finish, not really thinking about anything other than calming the angry fit I can see he wants, but is working extra hard not to fall into.

"No, it wasn't him Tyler!" I say rushed, trying to scrunch my face up in disbelief that he'd think that. "It was just a friend from that show I got booked for last month! We were going over some of the scripts!"

Ty nods his head like he wants to believe me, but his face says the complete opposite as he lifts his head to glare at me.

"In your bedroom, Hayden?" he sarcastically asks after a few moments, his eyes narrowed in frustration with me. "On your bed? Why couldn't you have just told me that then? Why all the lies?"
