I'm just having a really fun time writing this. By the way, is there any Harry Potter fans reading this? If so, do you guys like Harry and Ginny? Because I'm wondering if I should do some oneshots about them.

"Morning, Josh." Zay laughed as he watched Josh come into work almost an hour late. "Long night?" He asked smirking. Josh ignored him as he went up to his office and slammed his door shut. He was not in the mood to be messed with today.Josh slammed his stuff down under his desk before collapsing down onto his chair. He ran his hands over his face and through his hair as he thought back to last night.
"You're leaving tomorrow." Josh said as he ran his fingers down the spine of her bare back as she was laying on him. Maya snuggled deeper into his chest and wrapped her arms tighter around him.
"Don't ruin this." She shushed him as she closed her eyes and focused on his labored breathing.
"Maya I can't, not after tonight." Maya leaned up and shut him up with a kiss. She knew how emotionally attached Josh gets after sex. She liked to joke about how roles were reversed in their relationship back when they were dating.
"Shh. I missed you." Maya told him before deepening the kiss.
In a way maya knew this wasn't fair. To her this was a stress reliever, to Josh this was much, much more.
Josh got snapped out of his thoughts by a knock on his door. He looked down at his desk and noticed that something was missing. He cleared his throat and readjusted his seating.
"Come in." He called out. Farkle opened the door and came into the room.
"Smackle says we have a case, just thought I'd let you know." He told him. Josh narrowed his eyebrows.
"Farkle." He called before Farkle could walk out the door. "Maya's case file is missing from my desk. You wouldn't happen to know where it is, would you?" He asked.
"Nope." Farkle replied immediately. Josh stared at him. Farkle blinked before sighing and walking into the office and shutting the door.
Farkle reached down into his shoulder bag and pulled the file out of it. He handed it over to Josh who was giving him a certain look. Farkle rolled his eyes.
"I just wanted to read it." He said.
"Why didn't you just ask her about it?" Josh asked him. Farkle swallowed hard and looked away. "Is your pride really that important to you?" Josh snapped. Farkle didn't say anything. "They're moving her to a safe house today, we won't be able to have any contact with her for a while. Maybe not until after this case is over." Farkle kept his back turned to Josh not allowing him to see him. "The last thing either of you said to each other was an argument. A bad one. How are either of you going to feel if one of you were to get killed in the next few months and you weren't able to be there with each other."
"what do you want me to say, Josh!" Farkle demanded as he rounded on Josh. His face was a new level of hurt and anger. "We lost Carrie, and that was one of the hardest points of all of our careers. Can you even begin to imagine how bad it would be if we were to lose Maya?"
"I do actually." Josh narrowed his eyebrows. "I get that she's your best friend but you're forgetting I shared a bed with her for a year." Josh suddenly got another flash of asking Maya to move in with him after a year of being together. The emotions that came with both of them.
"What will my parents say, what will your parents say?" Maya asked as she and Josh were on the couch with a movie playing softly in the background.
"We're both adults Maya. Our parents shouldn't have a say." Josh told her amused. Maya always has been a little insecure when it came to Josh's parents. Always claiming that Josh could do better than her and his parents knew that.
"I know, I know. I just, gosh I don't know Josh, I don't want them to think any less of me." She told him. Parents approval was everything to Maya, especially after what happened with her dad.
"You worry too much. Your parents love you, my parents love you. For goodness sakes Maya, my mom was just asking me the other day when I was going to pop the question." Josh told her. Maya didn't look convinced. Josh leaned down and kissed her.
"We're moving in together, and if anyone has a problem with it, then screw em' " maya smiled and leaned in to give Josh another kiss.
"Screw em' "
"Josh!" Josh snapped out of it and looked over at Farkle.
"Sorry." He cleared his throat. Farkle sighed.
"I was saying that we got to get to the meeting room. Smackle doesn't like the look of this one." Josh nodded. He got up to follow Farkle out of the room when he knocked a chain off his desk. Josh bent down to pick it up and saw that it wasn't just a normal chain.
"Here." Maya placed the necklace in his hands and Josh laughed.
"You want me to wear jewelry?" He teased her. Maya rolled her eyes.
"Oh please, it's no different from those rope bracelets you wear." Josh nodded his head vigorously.
"Yes there is! It's a big difference. This is what girls wear." Josh told her dangling the chain in front of her face. Maya playfully slapped his shoulder.
"Don't be sexist!" She laughed. "Look it has a M for it, stands for Maya." She told him. Josh kept the teasing smirk on his face. Maya rolled her eyes. "You don't have to wear it! It's just for when we're apart. If you ever get to missing me, just look at this and know that I'm thinking of you."
Josh swallowed the lump in his throat as he fisted the chain with the letter in his hand. He squeezed the meddle piece right before unclasping it and putting it around his neck. He tucked it underneath his shirt before placing Maya's file case in his desk and heading off to the meeting room.
