Chapter 79

Seth (POV)
Mandy- I still can't believe this happened because of me. It's my fault.
Mandy- It's all our faults. Indirectly anyway. The king entrusted us to complete a another difficult mission entirely. It was totally independent from the Anima and magic absorption.
Seth- Wait a Damn minute. That doesn't make any sense. I watched Mandy get born. She came from an egg.
Wendy- So were you Carla.
Natsu- And Happy too. It was me who found him.
Carla- Indeed we were. To be perfectly honest, I myself have never stepped foot in Edolas. I was born in this world and I've spent my entire life here. It's as exactly as Seth said. We were imprinted with this knowledge. The details of our mission and of Edolas are part of what makes up our very being. Myself, Mandy, and the tomcat were born to carry out this mission for our kingdom. So why, why don't either of you know the first thing about it?!
Mandy- How should I know?
Happy- (sad) I don't know.
Carla- Hmph. Anyway, that's what I meant by indirectly. The Anima that did this originated from our homeland. That's why we are partially to blame.
Wendy- So what exactly is your mission Carla?
Carla- I'm sorry. I can't tell you.
Seth- Bullshit.
Happy- Please tell us. I want to know more about where I came from and why I'm here. I'm pretty sure Mandy feels the same.
Carla- (angry) I said I can't tell you and that's final! You both know it, you just don't remember!
Natsu- Well now that's been let out, we gotta head out and make our way to Edolas like Seth said.
Carla- Have you lost your mind?! Do either of you have any idea of the situation?!
Seth- Yeah. We are going to Edolas to get our friends back and we're also gonna help Mandy and Happy regain their memory.
Mandy- Do you really mean it Seth?
Seth- Of course.
Natsu- We have no choice but to help em out.
Wendy- Are they really up there?
Carla- I would assume so but even if we find them, I'm not entirely sure we can save them. And what's more, if we can in fact reach Edolas, I can't guarantee that we'll be able to return here.
Seth- Well, it's a risk we're just gonna have to take.
Natsu- Plus, what's the point of coming back here if our friends are stuck up there? I mean the only reason I'd stay is for looking for Igneel maybe.
Wendy- I feel the same.
Seth- Likewise.
Happy- We should a least try to save all of them. They'd do it for us.
Carla- ......I may have only recently stumbled into being a member of fairy tail but I am indeed part of the guild. And like I said, I'm indirectly responsible for what's happened here today so I'm not completely against taking you there. But, if I am to do this, I have to lay down some ground rules. By returning to Edolas, I will be abandoning my mission. One handed down by the kingdom itself. A traitor. I cannot risk being spotted by anyone who would know my identity. We will all need to be in disguise.
Seth- Fine by me.
Wendy- You sure you want to do this Carla?
Carla- Yes I am. I've made up my mind. Another rule for the tomcat and you Mandy is that you're absolutely not allowed to pry into the details of our mission.
Happy- Aye.
Mandy- Fine.
Carla- Thirdly, aside from the information I was given at birth, I know nothing of the layout of Edolas. I cannot be the navigator.
Natsu- Got it.
Carla- And lastly but the most important of all, if I or the other cats should do something that would constitute a betrayal towards you, kill us without any hesitation or emotion.
There was silence as we mulled over this one but we all nodded in agreement.
Carla- Alright. Let go. Tomcat you hold on to Natsu and Mandy hold on to Seth.
All the cats Activate their wings and hold on to our backs. We take flight and fly straight up to the hole in the sky.
Carla- Cats, whatever you do, don't hold back your magic power.
Mandy- Right!
Happy- Aye!
Carla- We'll enter Edolas in what's left if the Anima! When I give the signal, you give it everything you've got!
We started going faster and I'm pretty sure we were closing in on breaking the sound barrier. Wendy started to scream as lightning started to flash all around us.
Carla- Now!
We speed up and suddenly everything goes white. I open my eyes and I'm met with a beautiful sight.

Seth- Well I'll be damned. We made it to Edolas.
