"Oh no!" I hear Angeles sit up her blonde hair all over her face.
"It's light! It's light outside! I was meant to wake at dawn to help Mrs Green and Hannah with the breakfast!" Angeles nearly tumbles out of my bed, looks down and realises she's still in her nightgown.
"I've got to change and get to the kitchen!" She states running faster than I thought she could, leaving the door wide open.

I giggle at her urgency, and hear Angeles crashing around and things being knocked over in her room. Within seconds she's back out with her dress hastily slung on.
"Crap, Crap, Crap!" She says in the hallway hoping on one foot while trying to slide her other foot into the black boot.
Xavier opens his door and he's doing up buttons on his shirt looking at Angeles like she's completely lost her mind, he starts laughing with disbelief on his face.
I reach for my robe but by the time I put it on, Angeles has gone and I didn't get to tell her that her dress is on inside out.

I run after her in haste, but I stop as a boom of laughter fills my ears.
It's not the laughter of a person I recognise.
I turn to see Xavier following me and his eyes are just as confused as mine to know who's laughing.
We quickly descend the stair cases, and see a bent over Isaac in hysterics. He's laughing so much that he's not making sense between gasps of breaths, but he's trying to say something. I look to where he's pointing too and Angeles stands in the doorway opposite the drawing room with devastation on her face.
He's clearly laughing at her, and with a sickening twist of my stomach I know why.
Xavier is by the side of me and before I can go to Angeles he says, "Her dress.. It's inside out." I turn to look at him and I'm positive he will find this amusing, but he surprises me by looking at Isaac with an angry expression.
"That's enough Isaac!" Xavier's deep voice echos loudly around the entrance and even I fight the urge to cover my ears.
Isaac stops laughing immediately and stands in shock.
"I'm sorry Sir." Isaac says looking down.

"I think the apology is better suited to Angeles don't you?" With that Isaac looks to Angeles.

"I'm sorry Angeles, I just wasn't expecting you to come down the stairs with your dress on inside out. But please forgive me. I shouldn't have laughed at you." He says with amusement and sincerity in his voice.

I watch as Angeles looks down to her dress and her eyes pop in shock. I can see she is embarrassed which is a rare sight as usually she doesn't care, she would fire a remark back without thinking and brushes off any embarrassment as quickly as breathing.
But this time it seems different and I don't know why.
She quietly walks past us and climbs the cherry wood staircase heading to her room to change no doubt.
I follow after her, hoping she's not too upset. But as we get to the second set of stairs, she can't keep the sobs in any longer and I hear this sweet girl cry out of embarrassment.

"Angeles it's okay, it doesn't matter honestly." I say trying to comfort her while following her into her small room.
"But it does matter Nova! He's laughing at me, he's seen me at a disadvantage and I didn't want that to happen!" She cries out.

"But why should It have mattered if he has? As you said before he barely talks to you." I say trying to work out why she's so upset.

"Yes and the first proper words he's said to me was a apology for laughing at my stupidity! He laughed at me Nova, he laughed at my expense and it hurt." Angeles looks to me blinking away more tears.

Why is Angeles so upset that Isaac saw her that way?

Oh.

"Angeles do you like Isaac?" Waiting to see if she will be truthful with me.

"What that annoying stupid boy?" Angeles says in disbelief.

I nod and keep my eyes focused on her to wait for her to say more.

With a big sigh she looks to me. "Maybe." She sniffs.
"But what does it matter, I won't be able to face him now will I? It's not good enough to have a face full of freckles, I have to be so awkward and clumsy, it also seems I can't dress myself either." She says with fresh tears springing from her eyes.

"That's not the Angeles we all know and love, you don't care what people think. You laugh at yourself when you fall over and your witty about it. Angeles you have so much confidence inside of you. Don't let some silly boys laughter affect you this way. If I were you I would walk proudly down them stairs with your dress still on inside out and tell Isaac that sure he can have a good laugh but you do not care. Your Angeles and your one of a kind." I say proudly.

"But won't he think I'm stupid? To do that?" She asks but I can see her thinking about it.

"Do you really care what people think about you?" I say.

"No not really."

"Well that's my point." I say smiling.

"You go down there and be yourself, never doubt your self worth."

With that Angeles gives me a quick beaming hug, wipes her tears and stands up proudly, smoothing out her dress which is very obviously inside out. The stitching is white against the black material and it shines like a beacon.
"I'm going to show him that he can't laugh at Angeles Williamson without my say so. Who does he think he is?" She says with courage.

I nod and watch her go, like a proud surrogate big sister.

I go back to my room and pick out a dress to wear. I'm halfway through trying to tie the corset up from behind when I can hear plates clattering on a tray and a knock on my door.
Thinking it's Angeles and she's brought my breakfast I quickly open the door not looking properly to who is coming into my room, trying to hold the corset in place so it doesn't drop down.
"How did it go?" I ask Angeles.

"How did what go?" A male voice replies and I quickly snap my head up to see Xaviers amused expression on his face.
"Oh! I thought you were Angeles!" I say in shock.
Then I look to what he's carrying and see he's brought my breakfast up for me.

"The dining room is abit busy at the moment. My father has people in to decorate it in preparation for the Winter ball." He says looking to what I'm wearing.

I blush still holding my corset in place, life was much easier when I couldn't afford to wear a corset.

"Do you need some help?" Xavier asks in interest, putting the tray down on the table by the fireplace.

"Do you know how to tie a corset?" I ask unsure wether I want him to help dress me.

"I can do many things with these hands." He says with a wink.

I roll my eyes and turn my back to him to let him try and lace my corset.

"Well I couldn't imagine you would know how to lace a corset, I thought your speciality was to undo them." I tease

He clears his throat, "Well I'm full of surprises." and with that he pulls hard onto the ribbon and I gasp as my back arches slightly and my breasts push up with such force that they start to spill out of the top.

"That was a little hard." I comment trying to breathe normally when I know he's this close to me that I can smell his scent and I'm far to conscious that my cleavage is out on display.
But he pulls the ribbon again so my back is flat on his front and I can feel his errection on my lower back. His lips get close to my ear and a shiver runs up my spine, he whispers..
"You haven't seen hard just yet." His hands slide to my hips and turns me around like I'm nothing but a ragdoll then pulls me towards him and kisses me with such fire I groan.
