When we went out on the beach, I sat on the towel watching and observing all the different types of people. There was a Chinese family with one small daughter. She wanted to go into and around the water. Full of curiosity and innocence.
Her mom however, was frantic. The little girl looked at her dazed and confused about what her mother was so worried about.
That's when I witnessed fear being taught.
In life, we are born with no knowledge. Everything, every experience is to its own. We are taught what should make us sad, and what should scare us.
