Namjoon POV
I walk down the street, my pet sitting on my head. "Maybe you should sit in the carrier or something. Someone might try to crush you." I lift the tarantula off of my head, and place him onto my shoulder.
Everyone moves out of my way, after noticing the huge spider on my shoulder. I roll my eyes at them. "You're not bad, are you Aragog?"
"You named your spider after a Harry Potter character?" Someone giggles. I turn toward the man, and smile slightly.
"Yeah. When I had just gotten him from the pet store, we watched Harry Potter together. As soon as Aragog appeared on the screen, he started running all over." I chuckle. "So, I decided to name him Aragog."
"Aww. That's cute." He smiles. "How long have you had him?"
"2 years now. He's like my best friend." I grin.
"I've had mine for about a year now." He says. "She's actually here, just resting."
He pulls a small carrier out of his bag, and smiles. "Her name is Minerva. Like Minerva Mcgonagall from Harry Potter."
"That's adorable." I say. "What's your name, by the way?"
"Oh, I'm Seokjin! And you are?" He tilts his head.
"Namjoon. Do you wanna....hang out sometime? We could bring our spiders as well, and they can just....do whatever the hell spiders like to do."
"That sounds great." He giggles. "Here's my number. I'll see you around, Namjoon."
*2 Years Later*
"Aragog?" I call out for my tarantula. "Where did you go?"
"I can't find Minerva either." Seokjin sighs.
"Don't stress about it, love. We'll find them." I kiss his cheek.
"I know....I'm just worried. She's helped me through a lot, Joonie." He frowns.
"I know, baby." I say. Something moving in the corner of the room, catches my eye. "Over there."
We both rush over to the corner. My eyes widen when I spot Minerva. "Seokjin....babe look."
I point to her.He gasps, and covers his mouth with his hand. "Oh, they mated!"
"Hun, they can have up to 200 babies." I say.
"We can always give them to a pet shop when they reach a mature age." He says. "Besides, not all of them will survive sadly."
"We should move them to the tank, love. So her eggs don't get crushed." I suggest. Seokjin slowly lifts both the egg sac and Minerva, moving them into their tank. I bring Aragog over, and place him in there as well.
"So.....I guess I should say goodbye now." I frown. "Male tarantulas die a few hours after mating. Do you think...."
"Maybe he'll be different." Seokjin suggests. "Maybe he'll survive."
"Maybe." I sigh. "I love you."
"I love you too."
Yes, Aragog did survive 🤧.
