Seokjin POV
"Dahyun, sweetheart lets go." I say to my 4 year old daughter. "We're going to be late to your new daycare, if we don't hurry."
Since it's summer and I don't have a nanny or babysitter, I send my daughter to daycare while I work. We had to change daycares, because she was being bullied and we were moving anyway. But she absolutely loved helping out with the younger kids.
"Th-They're gonna bully me 'gain, Appa." She sniffles, rubbing her eyes.
"No they won't, sweetheart." I smile softly. "It'll be okay. I'll make sure of it."
"Pwomise?" She pouts.
"I promise, honey. Let's go." I take her hand, and walk down the street to her new daycare. "I'm sure you'll love it here. Are you going to help the adults, with the younger kids again?"
"Y-Yesh, Appa! I wike helping lots an' lots." She giggles. I lead her into the building, and up to the desk.
"Right dOwN the hall, is the playroom. That's where the kids are." The secretary says, her eyes not leaving the paperwork. Dahyun and I walk to the playroom, where a few kids and an adult are.
"Well, hello!" A boy smiles. "You must be new. What's your name?"
"It's Dahyun." I notify him. He's kinda cute... "Say hi, Hyunie."
"H-Hi!" She giggles. "W-What's your name?! My Appa's name is Seokjin, but I call him Appa!"
"I'm Namjoon, but you can call me Joonie if you'd like. Everyone does." The boy smiles, exposing his dimples. "You look like a very kind girl. Do you like helping?"
"Y-Yeah!" Dahyun smiles. "I help my Appa all da time, cause I wike helping!"
"Wow, that's very cool! How would you like to help me with snack time, today? We give every kid a juice box, and a cookie. Do you want to help me?" Namjoon asks.
"Yes!" Dahyun claps her hands.
"Great! Why don't you go play for a while, well I talk to your Appa. Then I'll let you know when you can help." Namjoon says.
"Okay! Bye-Bye, Appa!" Dahyun waves.
"Bye, Hyunie." I smile. Namjoon looks over at me, and smiles.
"Is there anything I should know about her? Allergies, fears?" He asks.
"No allergies, but she's afraid of the dark, and bullying. She was bullied a lot at her last daycare, and no one notified me about it. They told her not to say anything, either." I say. "I wasn't happy."
"Oh, I don't blame you!" He exclaims. "That sounds absolutely horrible. You won't have to worry about that, here. These children are very well behaved. I won't let anything happen to your daughter, sir."
"Just call me Seokjin." I chuckle. "And that's definitely a good thing."
"Well Seokjin, I think Dahyun will fit in perfectly. She's already getting along with the others." He gestures to my daughter, playing a game with the other kids. "I'll notify you if anything goes wrong."
"Thank you." I nod. "I'll be back to pick her up, at the required time."
"Alright. It was nice to meet you." He bows, before turning back to the children.
*Time Skip*
"Appa, look!" Dahyun exclaims, as soon as I walk into the building. She's wearing a badge, that says '#1 Helper'. "Joonie made it for me!"
"I did. And remember, you have to wear it every day. Just like a police man would." Namjoon says.
"I will, Joonie!" Dahyun giggles. "I pwomise!"
"Good." He smiles softly, before turning to me. "Dahyun is a very wonderful girl. She helped out a lot today, and even got the children to clean their mess without any complaints."
"That's my princess." I grin. "She loves helping out. Thank you, for watching her today."
"Oh, it was no problem! She's a joy to have here." He exclaims. "I'll see you guys tomorrow, then!"
"Bye-Bye, Joonie!" Dahyun waves as we walk outside. When we're walking back home, Dahyun looks up at me.
"Appa?" Dahyun asks, after a moment of silence.
"Yes, sweetheart?" I ask.
"Why don't I have an Eomma? All of my other friends have Eommas, but I don't. Why?" She asks.
"Dahyun, your Eomma.....she didn't want us." I confess. "She left, just after you were born."
"W-Why?" She sniffles. "Was I bad?"
"No, honey! You were absolutely perfect! Your Eomma has problems, princess. And she just....didn't want to deal with us anymore. But I wasn't going to abandon you. You're my world, okay? You may not have an Eomma, but that doesn't make you any different. Okay?"
"Okay." She wipes her eyes. "M-Maybe Joonie can be my daddy, instead. I can have two daddies, right?"
"There's nothing wrong with having two dads, sweetheart. But it doesn't quite work like that." I say.
"Why not? Just marry Joonie, an' I'll have two dads!" She exclaims.
"Honey, I just met Namjoon. And besides, he wouldn't like me, okay?" I frown. "Maybe one day you'll have two dads, or an Eomma."
"Oh." She pouts. "Okay."
"C'mon. Let's go home, and make some dinosaur nuggets." I lift her up, and carry her home.
"Yay, dino nuggets!" She giggles.
*2 Months Later*
"But I don't wanna go to preschool!" Dahyun whines. "I wanna stay at daycare, with Joonie!"
"I'll tell you what. After school and on some weekends, I'll let you go to the daycare for a few hours. Does that sound good?" I ask. She nods quickly.
"Yeah!" She exclaims. "Oh, Joonie talked 'bout you a lot!"
"Oh really?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Yeah! I asked him if he liked you, and he said yes!" She giggles. "He said, 'I like Seokjin a lot! He's very handsome, and nice.'."
"Did he?" I chuckle. "Or are you just making things up?"
"I'm not Appa, I swear!" She smiles. "Ask him!"
"Well, let's head over there then." I tease her. She immediately puts her shoes on, and grabs my hand.
"Let's go!" She squeals. I playfully roll my eyes, and follow her outside. We walk to the daycare quickly. Damn, this child is fast.
"Seokjin? Dahyun?" Namjoon tilts his head. "It's closing time, are you alright?"
"Yeah." I smile slightly. "Dahyun dragged me here."
"Do you like my Appa?" She asks. Namjoon's eyes widen, a light blush dusting his cheeks.
"Well, I- Uh....." He stutters.
"Cute." I grin. "I take that as a yes."
I grab his arm, and reach for a marker that's tucked behind his ear. "What are you-"
"Here's my number. Call me sometime, and we'll arrange a date." I say.
"O-Okay." He grins, his face a bright red.
