"those bastards tried to kill me"
___
taehyung and jungkook didn't really know how to react to the words coming out of the boy's mouth.

"so when they said to get rid of you..." jungkook trailed off.

"...they meant kill you," taehyung finished him off.

jimin simply nodded and slowly stood up. he was noticeably slow in his movements as he walked to the lounge chair in the room. he took a deep breathe and laid back, closing his eyes.

"why're you're so calm about this?" jungkook gently asked, standing up straight and looking at the almost sleeping boy.

"cause it's happened so many times before. i...wasn't the most popular person on the island. a lot of people saw me as a disgrace to my name; a scrawny piece of shit to get rid of. which, i have to say; is honestly true. it wasn't till a year or two ago where i started gaining muscles. so; people would try to kill me because of that. thankfully; they started when i was 10; when my powers truly matured into great ones. so, i guess they were at least partly wrong in calling me a disgrace."

taehyung and jungkook were completely shocked.

did he really just share that much information after one question?

"j-jimin...i'm—"

"your sorry? yeah, heard it a million times. you can save your royal breathe for the announcement about me." jimin cut off taehyung's words. he sighed as he peeked one eye open to justify his thoughts of the two princes being confused; then closing it back up again.

"what announcement?" taehyung asked curiously.

"the one about me, dumbass. isn't it obvious they're gunna announce what i did to the kingdom? reveal my 'wrong doing' to everyone so they can beware of me?" jimin chuckled at his words; sitting up a bit more to open his eyes and look at their reactions. "you two have been here your whole lives and still don't understand the conduct of this palace, do you?"

the two princes stayed silent. jimin stood up and stretched, now jumping into his bed to lay down.

"hey," he spoke after a few moments of silent. if caught the two princes' attention very quickly. "do you know what made them stop?"

the two froze. jimin didn't know? how were they supposed to tell him that full on demon would be coming to have a "personal talk" with him more often than not.

"well? what is it?" the boy became a bit impatient at the sudden silence.

"w-well..." taehyung began, knowing jungkook doesn't want to speak a word. "hyunjin...actually got you off..."

the room fell to an uncomfortable silence yet again. the two males staring anxiously at the loft; not being able to see the tired boy because of the wooden bars securing him in the bed.

"...how," jimin spoke in a small voice, barley audible.

"he promised to see you personally to make things better. pathetic, right?" jungkook tried chuckling; but it just came out as a soft and awkward laugh.

they heard a soft squeak in the mattress, and then his head pop out from the wood. he looked half confused, half angered.

"that's bullshit," he spoke angrily. he groaned and slumped back down, his hands now over his eyes in frustration. "and i can't even complain or else i'll be killed like a worthless dog on the street."

"don't worry too much, jimin. we'll find a way to stop this...somehow," taehyung seems to mutter the last word to himself as some kind of sloppy encouragement that doesn't seem to work.

"ha...i know you're the princes and all; but you can't change the way people have been thinking for so many years. it's just...unthinkable," jimin huffs defeatedly. "at least i'm not dead, right? well...maybe it would be better than spending time with that asshole. but...who knows, eh?"

somewhere along his rants; jungkook could pick up jimin wasn't assuring him or taehyung; but himself. he needs all the assurance he can get, after all.

"jimin," jungkook finally spoke after all the time of being quiet. "don't worry too much about this. like you said...you aren't dead, right?" he chuckled softly and awkwardly to his almost identical statement to jimin's.

a stern "hmph" was all that left jimin before he lifted his hand and waved it in a shooing motion to the princes. getting the hint; the two quietly walked out of the messy room and closed the door behind them.

"what if we told mom what happened? told her what we saw; t-told her wh—"

"we can't, taehyung. you've got to be smarter about this," the younger cut the boy off. "if we tell your mother what happened then we'd have to tell her what happened leading up to that. y'know; about the magic doing and how i said it was okay and you gave him the powers? and how jimin really still is the one who gave hyunjin that bruise no matter what that boy was doing. and, speaking of which; we don't even know what exactly was going on between the two. what was being said, what was being done."

taehyung quieted after jungkook's rambling. all that was heard was the boys' shoes thumping on the pearl white floors of the castle. they've been walking through the castle for some time; all the way to where there was only black seen in the sky.

"what if we told mom what hyunjin was doing? wouldn't they give a damn about how her nephew was harassing a guest in our home?" taehyung spoke after some quiet time. after thinking about all jungkook had said.

"mmm, possibly. but...how would we explain why jimin was in the west wing? hyunjin rarely leaves the west wing; and on a normal day like this? no way," jungkook spoke clearly and honestly. "and we can't use the excuse jimin was just wandering around because it's be almost impossibly for him to end up in the west wing coming from where he'd normally go. the kitchen's on the complete other end of the castle, the garden's in the middle of the castle and is the closest he'll come to the west wing; which is still far. and how'd he get the entrances confused? the four doors clearly state whether you're heading towards the north, south, east, or west wing. it's just ludicrous."

taehyung chuckled softly.

jungkook turned towards the boy. "what? why're you laughing?"

"you're just thinking so much about this, kook," taehyung smiled. "and your face goes really serious and thoughtful when you're thinking about it. you should be a detective one day; you'd be good at it. your rants about all the flaws of my one question is hilarious sometimes."

the younger simply kept walking and looking forward after the latter's statement. maybe he did think an oddly a lot into everything. but that was just his nature; and definitely not something to think about in a time like this.

"that doesn't matter right now. all that matters is that none of the things you or i can come up with right now will be able to help jimin," jungkook sighed.
