Author's POV
___
Tons of crumbled paper balls were scattered along the room. Taehyung ruffled his already curly hair in frustration. Why couldn't he think of the words for the letter? He grabbed his pen in his left hand while the top of his head rested on his right. He though long and hard about this letter, and was about to write something; until he heard crumpling of paper.
He turned around to see Jungkook unwrapping one of his throne paper balls and reading the words on it. He watched as Jungkook threw it into a garbage can this time and look up at him.
"Taehyung...how are you going to find the words to ask the most evil son in the world to come out of where he's been all of his life? First; you needed appa and eomma's approval; which was a shock that you got; but now you need Jimin's approval. And that's going to be way harder," Jungkook stayed with a serious face. It was pretty darn obvious that Jungkook didn't want Jimin to come over here. Even with the restrictions his parents stated; it still didn't feel right and safe. He really hoped that Taehyung would change his mind; but then these words came out of his brother's mouth:
"I'll do whatever it takes"
Jungkook looked down and shook his head. "Then I can't help you," Jungkook said rather harshly. He then stormed out of the room and took a deep breathe once he got out.
Believe it or not; that was really hard for Jungkook to do. He respected Taehyung so much and to go against him? Jungkook felt terrible even though it wasn't that big of a deal. But, it was also hard because he was terrified. Terrified that this might actually happen, terrified hag his brother may be in way over his head, terrified that if Park Jimin comes over; he'd ruin everything they created. There was too much riding on that letter and if Jungkook could stop it, he would.

Jimin sat on the edge of his house. His house was black, grey, and dark brown. It was the best and biggest house in the island; but that didn't make it good. The roof was porous, some windows were broken, the floor creaked whenever you walked on it, the stairs acted like they were going to fall apart whenever someone went up them, and the basement was freezing, dirty, and was basically like a prison cell. And, you guessed it, that's where Jimin sleeps.
Since there was only one bedroom, his mother took it before little Jimin has the chance. Instead of letting her son sleep in the living room; there was a spare bed in the basement, so she put him down there at night.
It was an understatement that when Jimin was younger; he was terrified of the basement. He'd pull the covers up to his mouth; shivering in fear and from the fact it was probably 0 degrees. The basement only got a sliver of light from upstairs; and even at night, there was none since it was dark outside. Jimin would lay awake most nights; searching around the dark and cold basement, wondering when "the monster in the darkness" would come out and get him.
But, when Jimin grew older, he learned that a stupid basement isn't anything to be afraid of. So, now, he sleeps with only shivering from the cold at night.
And his clothes didn't help.
Jimin has only two pants, two shirts, one hat, one pair of shoes, and one pair of socks.
The hat was black with two rings on the cap; the socks were black and his shoes were black combat boots. He had a pair of ripped black skinny jeans and black sweatpants. Then, he had a sleeveless black shirt and a black sweater.
A lot of black? 100%. But that was Jimin's style; and the fact that not a lot of colorful clothes were near him.
He was dangling his feet and feeling the cool breeze on the roof. But, he suddenly heard commotion. He immediately climbed to the front of his house and looked down at a floating letter with purple around it floating in the streets.
People kept trying to take it; but no matter what they did, they couldn't get through the barrier. But, the letter suddenly started to float up; and to Jimin.
Everyone stared in shock as the barrier around the letter become non-existent when Jimin touched it. Jimin analyzed the letter in front of him. It had a red seal with a lion on it; meaning only one thing.
This letter was from Lonnex Kingdom.
Jimin scrunched up his nose and the thought of the dreaded place. But, he opened the letter anyway.
Dear Park Jimin,
You are being sent an invitation to come live with us in Lonnex Kingdom. We want you to have a better chance at life than on that island. Here, you will have an amazing suite, all the food you can hope for, and schooling that will make you much brighter.
Yet, there will be restrictions.
1. You will not be allowed to use your magic; a bracelet will be locked on your wrist to make sure of this.
2. You may not cause any harm to any of our people; especially royalty.
3. You will be on high watch from the moment you wake up to the moment you close your eyes at night. Please understand that this is just for our people's reassurance.
4. You will have private classes since you are most likely not up to date with our criteria.I really hope that you agree to this! You will be treated with respect; but please don't take offense if people are scared of you. It's just what they've heard; and I'm sure you're better than all of the rumors!
Sincerely,
Prince Kim TaehyungJimin was beyond shock at the request the letter held. His eyes widened, jaw hanging open, and hands shaking. He hated those stupid main-landers. No way was he going to that stupid kingdom! He refused, he couldn't, he wouldn't—
"You're going," his mother states coldly while sipping on her black coffee.
"No I'm not!! I can't! Those people sentenced us away to live in poverty with no help at all! I'm not going over there!" Jimin fought with his eomma. He was not having it. He hated the fact that his eomma was was telling him this.
"I don't care, Jimin. This is an opportunity. So, you can't use your magic; but you can still secretly cause havoc there," his eomma explained.
"And how am I supposed to do that?" Jimin questioned angrily. He gritted his teeth at his mother.
"You will steal something precious from the kingdom. Something special. Something that will set us all free..." his eomma started. "Something like...the pendant of Lonnex." Jimin's heart dropped. His legs became wobbly and his palms became clammy. His bottom lip quivered and sweat started to descend from his forehead.
That pendant was the reason this happened in the first place. That pendant kept all of them locked up on that island. That pendant kept them in the main-landers' grasp forever. And his eomma wanted him to take it?
"How the fuck am I supposed to get the one thing that they hold dearest?!" Jimin argued. But, his eomma just shook her head at her son.
"The pendant may be tricky to get to; but with your powers, you can easily break through the barrier," his mother explained.
"Eomma, in case you haven't read the letter thoroughly; rule number 1 says I can't use my magic. So, how do you expect me to break through with it?" Jimin crosses his arms and tapped his foot in anger.
His mother stood up and went over to him. Putting a hand on his shoulder, she states, "I expect you to come up with one by Sunday." And with that, she leaves.
