LISA's POV
I looked at her worriedly. Why? I'm holding her hand and I can feel how shaky it is. Is she always like this whenever she goes here? At her house.
I admit, it's big. Bigger than our safe house. Their front yard even looks bigger than our whole place. Even the gates in front, it's so tall but rusting through time.
I turned to her again when I felt her hand got tight around mine when we stepped on their front door. I noticed how she breathes. Her chest goes up as she heaves a deep breath. But before she touch the doorknob, I pulled her. I chuckle when I feel how startled she is. Maybe because she didn't expect me to hug her.
"Relax. I'm here. Whatever happens."
I hugged her tight. I'm relieved when her stiffed body slowly softens and she feels relaxed on my embrace. I pulled back and smiled at her. I grabbed her hand and put it on my head. I looked at her and I found nothing but a confused look from her. Then I lifted her hand and smacks my head using it.
"Yah.." She mumbled and stopped me by pulling her hand back.
"Tss. I know you like it. Go on. Hit me, babe.." I teased her and held her hands, both of them, and hit myself again.
"What are you doing?!" she scowled and pulled her hands again.
I looked at her and she's glaring at me. I just laughed at her. Then she smacks me.
"Ahw!"
"You wanted that! There! Hm!"
I just laughed at her while she hits me. It doesn't hurt though but I'm relieved that she looks calmer than earlier.
It worked.
Then their door yanked open. I gasped when I see two people.
"Holy shit!"
"Shit?" The man said.
"I-I mean.. crap!"
"Crap?" the woman said this time.
"I-I.. I.. whatever. Good day, sir, ma'am." I just bowed to them.
They really are alive. I saw their faces on that article. They looked older now but.. i-it's them. They really are.
"Jen.."
"Dad.. uhm.. mom.. s-she's my friend. Lisa."
"Come in."
Jennie grabbed my hand and pulled me. I looked at her and she's bending her head. She can't even look at her parents. She would glance at them but would avert it quickly again.
Gosh! It feels like we're talking to people who suddenly rised from the grave. It feels creepy but they welcomed me though.
"Have you guys eaten?" the woman asked.
"You have foods here?"
Jennie just looked at me but didn't reply on my whisper. I just looked around their house. It smells dust but looks clean though. Maybe, they're still cleaning when we got here.
"Jen, come here for a while." the woman calls.
She didn't even look at me and jogged her way to their kitchen, maybe. I am now left with her father, staring at me. Gosh! Why does it feel so creepy?
"You're our daughter's friend?"
"Y-Yes, s-sir." I suddenly feel nervous. I think, I need Jennie's smacks right now. HAHA! Aigoo..
"Just a friend?"
I looked at him abruptly but averted it again. He looks really scary. Damn! Why did she leave me here.
