39. WHERE WAS I?

"Gwenn, tawag ka ni Rozen sa labas," saad Mama.

Lumabas naman agad ako at nakita ko si Rozen na nakahilig sa kanyang mamahaling sasakyan. Halos lahat ng atensyon ng mga tao sa paligid namin ay nakapako sakanya.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

Sino ba naman kasing matinong tao ang pupunta dito sa squatter na lugar namin? 'E halos magkakapalit na nga ang mukha ng mga tao dito dahil magkakadikit lang lagi.

"Let's go out," aniya habang pinapaikot sa daliri ang susi ng sasakyan.

"Sa'n naman tayo pupunta, aber?" I crossed my arms.

"I don't know yet. I just want to get out of myself from this mess and refresh my mind from everything." There's an unreadable emotion in his eyes.

"Okay, sige. Hintayin mo ako at magbibihis lang ako saglit."

Nakarating kami sa Tagaytay ni Rozen. It was a bit far from our home but for Rozen's sake then fine.

Nakasandal ako dito sa puno malapit sa railings na kinasasandalan ni Rozen. Kanina ko pa siya tinitigan sa malayo.

He got this messy hair that I always love to play, thick eyebrows, deep tantalizing eyes that is suffocating, melting and here I am loving it so much, Pointed nose, Fucking jawline, Pink lips and White teeth that I always love to see when he smile. Damn, I'm so attracted.

"Hey!" I came back from my reverie as I heard his husky voice.

"Y-yes?"

"I've been calling you several times but it seems you're too captivated by my charm." He gave me a playful smirk.

"Che!" Tinalikuran ko siya ngunit agad niya namang hinila ang braso ko kaya pagkaharap ko ay nauntog ako sa matigas niyang dibdib.

"Hey! I was just joking, alright?" he said softly while stroking my hair with his fingers.

"Napakahangin mo naman kasi!" asar kong asik.

"Sorry na," aniya saka nagpout.

Biglang humangin ng malakas kaya naman hindi ko maiwasang manginig. Agad naman akong niyakap nang mahigpit ni Rozen.

"Let's cuddle. So, you can steal my body heat," he said playfully. Tinampal ko naman ang dibdib niya.

Lumayo siya sakin saka pinagsaklop ang mga daliri namin.

"Pasok na tayo sa loob dahil lumalamig na dito," wika niya.

Ilang araw na din ang nakalipas mula nang pumunta kaming Tagaytay at masasabi kong lalo kaming nagiging malapit ni Rozen sa isa't isa.

"Was your father a thief?" he asked out of nowhere.

"Pinagsasabi mo dyan?"

He looked at me. "'Cause someone stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes." His remark made me blushed.

"Baliw!"

Nanigas ako sa kinatatayuan ko nang bigla kong maramdaman ang matigas at mainit niyang dibdib sa likod ko. Niyakap niya kasi ako mula sa likod.

"Don't turn your back on me, baby. I'm scared of being left alone. I'm so damn scared," he whispered.

Remembering those good old memories we shared. Memories that will never happen again because you choose my sister over me.

"If you really love me, why do you have to choose between me and her?" I confronted him while we were in the park.

"It's just that, My love for you isn't enough to make me stay than hers, I love her more than enough and I'm willing to sacrifice anything for her to be happy," he said in serious tone.

"Kailan pa?" I asked. I'm trying to control my feelings 'cause I know anytime from now sasabog ako.

"Since 2010."

2010? Anong taon ngayon? 2020, right?

"So 10 years?" I asked and he nodded.

"Inside the 10 years, I was there.. When you told her you loved her in those 10 years.. Where was I?" I asked. Tears pooled in my eyes.

He just looked away.

Your sweet words were meant to melt my heart but were they meant to break mine?

"Maybe I'm your once upon a time, but I'm not your happily ever after," I said and walked away.

Binagalan ko ang paglalakad dahil sa pagbabakasaling pigilan, hatakin at yakapin niya ako. Ngunit hindi, hindi nangyari 'yon.
