Promises from Past (COLLAB STORY)

When I flipped on the radio that night, I couldn't believe the voice I heard coming through the speakers. It's her voice. I'm so proud of her. Wanna know who she is? She's Gabriela, my girlfriend. I quickly grab my coffee out of the cafe and headed to their house. I texted her to come out, at first she was hesitant but still she came.

Right after I saw her, I pulled her waist closer to me and softly pressed my lips on hers. "Congrats!"

"W-what? Congrats?" she asked, dumbfounded.

"Yes. You made it, baby! Your song got played on the cafe radio this afternoon that's why I immediately got here because I want to be the one who greeted you first! I'm so proud of you!"

Her hands went on her mouth as her eyes full of glitter. "For real?"

"Yes, baby." I kissed her head and hugged her.

We are both college students but we can still manage to have time with each other. Her course is Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management. While I'm taking a civil engineering. We both made a promise that we will reach out dreams together, no matter how and what it takes.

"I want cuddles," I said while pouting my lips. I may look like a gay now but I really want cuddles with my baby.

"Hmm? Can you wait for awhile? I just finish writing my thesis. We have to pass it tommorow e. Sorry," she apologized.

I sat beside her and kissed her nose. "No, it's okay. Go finish it up. Cuddles can wait, but your teacher can't."

She smiled. "Thank you for understanding me and the situation we had right now."

Instead of saying she's welcome, I give her a kiss. Sinamahan ko siyang tapusin ang thesis niya, I told her na ako nalang ang gagawa at siya nalang sa ibang subjects para hindi hussle but she doesn't want to. She said that she can do it on her own naman and nahihiya siya sa'kin. Ngayon pa ba siya mahihiya? E, boyfriend niya na ako. Hay nako.

Not until.. The most challenging part of her life came and I was there, of course. I'm not going to leave her especially now that she needs someone to be on her side.

"Hindi ko man alam kung anong nararamdaman mo, asahan mong nandito lang ako para makinig. When you're mouth is open, I'm all ears."

"I'm useless, worthless, failure, ugly creature, I don't know what to do now. My whole world is falling and I can't even do anything to bring it back like before," she said, she's hugging a pillow and crying.

She doesn't want me to hug her or what. That's why I'm here at the side listening to her. I don't know what to do but deep down I'm hurting too, seeing her cry is my downfall.

She's now facing many problems. What kind of problems? Academic, Family and Herself. Nagsabay-sabay kaya ngayon hindi niya na alam ang gagawin. Kung pa'no siya tatayo at babangon muli. Pero nandito naman ang mga bisig ko para kapitan niya at nandito rin ako para gabayan siya at samahan sa mga darating pang pagsubok sa buhay niya. I'm always here for her.

"Do you love me, Kiyo?" she asked.

"What kind of question is that? Yes, I love you."

"Kahit na ganito ang kalagayan ko ngayon?"

Kumunot ang noo ko sa tanong niya. "What do you mean by kalagayan mo?"

"Ganito. Puro breakdown, hindi na rin ako nakaligo dahil nauubos ang araw ko kakaiyak. Nag u-umpisa na ring magbreak out pimples ko. Ang buhay ko ngayon ay puno ng dilim."
