59. DREAM

I am now a licensed doctor here in the Philippines. I am an Obstetrician, a doctor who specializes in pregnancy, childbirth, and a woman's reproductive system. I had a four years learning and training on how to become a good Obstetrician or Gynecologist (OB/GYN). I admitted that it's not easy to become one, pero wala namang bagay na nakukuha sa madaling paraan, lahat pinaghihirapan. So, kung may bagay kang sa madaling paraan mo nakuha, madali rin 'to sa'yong mawawala.

Habang naglalakad sa hallway ng hospital, my eyes suddenly locked on a certain people. The man looks familiar for me, he was caressing the woman's womb and they're happily looking at each other's eyes. Mahahalata mong inlove sila sa isa't-isa. Ang babaeng 'yon ay pasyente ko at nandito sola sa hospital dahil nag papakita na daw ng senyales na manganganak na ito. Hanggang sa hindi ko namalayan na masyado na pala along matagal na nakatayo doon at pinapanood sila dahilan para mapaangat ng tingin ang lalaki sa'kin.

I was astounded when I finally saw his face. Kaya pala familiar, he's Hiro my ex boyfriend.

He stood up and walked towards me. I was about to turn on the side but he called my name. I sighed and faced him, smiling. Bruh, I'm not bitter naman but I'm a bit sad and I don't know why is that.

"Yes? Do you have something important to say?" I asked and stealed a look in him. He grown up so well. Hindi na siya 'yung dating payat, hindi rin naman siya mataba ngayon pero masasabi kong nag g-gym siya dahil sa laki at lapad ng biceps niya.

"Is it a miss or misis?" He sheepishly query.

"Doctora." I smiled and stood confidently infront of him.

"Uh.. congrats! You've reached your dream." He scratched the back of his hair. I thought he changed, but meron pa rin palang natitira na traits niya mula noon. Isa d'yan ay ang pagkamot niya sa batok or likod ng hair niya kapag nahihiya siya.

"Nahihiya ka?" I chuckled, bruntly. Ano ba 'yang bunganga mo, Dae? Walang filter.

"A bit," He said and guffawed awkwardly.

"You've reached your dream too," I whispered.

"Yes, I'm now a Certified Public Accountant." He proudly whimpered.

"No, I'm pertaining to your family. You'e finally meet your desires and fulfill your wishes. You have now a happy family, then there's a new one in your wife's womb. I'm happy for the both of you."

"Uh yeah, I have a family now and I love them so much. I can gave to them the world, anything they want. I want them to be happy as always, I want a complete family, that's what I never had before. Hinding-hindi ko ipararanas sakanila kung ano man ang mga naranasan at nadaanan ko noon." He turned himself into a matured one too. That's great.

"Hmm good then."

I looked around finding alibi to get myself away from him.

"Daenarys, sorry."

I bring back my gaze on him. "For what?" My brows met.

"For everything I did on the past, pero wala akong pinagsisisihan doon. Dahil hindi rin naman siguro natin mararating kung ano tayo ngayon kung hindi natin piniling palayain ang isa't-isa. Naging maganda naman ang desisyon nating magpaalam." He closed the distance between us and kissed my head. "See you soon, Doctora. Be happy."

Sa buhay, hindi naman lahat ng pamamaalam, malungkot, masakit. Try to look on the brighter side, even though we did not ended up on each other's arms, we reached our dreams naman. We're both happy now for what we are now.
