My hands flexed at my side with a confident smile, right knee resting on the ground.

I slammed my fists in the ground as Fin moved towards me again, sending a ripple through the ground before throwing my arms out at my side and lifting them over my head, water gathering from the air in two huge waves and crashing down onto him.

I rose to my feet in a jump and kicked the ground, mud spiraling up around his body before freezing it solid.

"Yes! I win again!" I said with a big triumphant smile as I pointed at him.

"Alright, alright you do, now free me."

I smirked and the frozen mud fell away with a wave of my hand, he was the best brother I could ask for despite the fights we have.... Well.... Brother, as in raised together as mages, him and his twin, Fen, were the two other mages of my age in the castle at 21 and me being a year younger only.

Fin and Fen for both twins as I said but as their magic manifested they changed, Fen more lean and his hair a blueish green and blue eye hue now as his affinity was water and then plants while Fin was more robust and hardy, muscles more defined, hair a dirty muddy color with streaks of grey for the earthy, rocky type of magic tho they did keep the same short hairstyle, spiky and short.

my own hair had once been an ice blue but now was auburn red with silvery highlights from an accident years ago.

"Lin got you good." Fen laughed at his brother as I puffed out my chest happily before lifting my hands to shaky the dust from my hair, it was reaching past my shoulders in the back but my bangs were short and spiky, the spikes sticking up forwards naturally, right now having the back tied with a leather strip.

My eyes never changed color and remained the icy frozen blue that came with finding affinity with ice at first.

Our mage uniforms never changed from design compared to the older ones the older mages wear, ours were exactly the same other than the gloves and undershirt being a deep dark red.

We had been out training in the evening, in the court of the mage's quarters, the safest place to not hurt anyone but ourselves with stray whips of magic.

My living conditions were a bit weird in the standards as I was, by connection, royalty since my mothers were too but unlike normal mages, I wasn't sent off to serve another king or queen since I was not blood family.

I did decide to room in the same building as the rest of the mages did tho, I preferred that too the stress of being in the castle constantly.

"Guys, I should go, uncle Em is coming back tonight and mother nor the head mage wouldn't be happy if I was late." I told them, irked about all this and just wanting to spend some time having fun with the twins.

"Well get ready in that case, you girls always need many slices of suns to be ready."

I stomped my foot, sending a stone into Fen's forehead to knock him to his ass and walked away with a smile as Fin was laughing at his brother's dismay.

-----------------------------------------------------

I didn't change out  despite having thought about it as I headed into the castle that would have been my home if I didn't wish to live as a mage instead of like my sisters.

Siera, the oldest of the bunch at 16, four years young then me as I was found at four years old and she was made not long after that.

Kia was the other, 13.

And lastly the still not born one we didn't have a name for yet.

My family is a... Weirdly made one, my uncle Em is technically my step father and my uncle Eleric too as they had a hard time working out a spell to not need a third male party in making children, so mother slept with uncle Em and the head mage with uncle Eleric before they figured it out and are now waiting for the baby made from a spell and both of them only.

I frowned as I walked, I was now blood family because of the accident but always felt like an outsider to this family, not my fault I was an orphan kid that could do magic that got picked off the streets.

Siera was, by blood, the next to step up to the throne as the next queen of Solor when she'll be old enough.
Kia was, by blood, the next to step up as queen of dragons and the baby would have the right to both thrones while I was nothing but a mage accepted into the family.

I laid my hand over the necklace on with hung a red dragon stone, the only thing of value the head mage had ever given me.

I didn't look forwards to this dinner.
