I couldn't bare the judging gazes of the people so I sat in the darkest corner of the inn, have just barely used my magic to snuff out a candle to have me in the shadows.

I sat there, head in hand and waving my other one over my drink, watching the liquid swirl in the mug because of it.

I do not get along with Mystery but.... That must hurt, molten rocks getting burnt on your skin.... I never meant to hurt her... Well I did, in anger, but whatever.

I just wanted to be worthy enough to be taught and looked at with something other then a cold neutral gaze.

If only that incident didn't happen.... My magic wouldn't have been flipped and this unspoken mistake wouldn't have turned her against me.

I glanced as my arm with which I was waving and eyed the almost tear shaped scars, like rips in a parchment, really light so they didn't clash with my pale complexion but they were there... Just like if my skin was torn like a leaf in a heavy wind, scars up my arms, legs and whole body, one's even peaking out om under my undershirt on my neck.

The day these came to be was the last day she taught me her tricks.

I picked up at the commotion, who dares to bother my sad time?

"You are not full time mages so don't go out on vigilante missions."

------------------------------------------------

I frowned at her reprimanding voice echoing through my head as I stood, she did much more at 18 then I am doing at 20 so this can't be too bad.

"Leave the people alone Varick." This Varick guy was well known for causing problems with his group of wild mages and getting away from the guards.

"Well well well.... Who do we have here? The reject daughter of the queen." I tsk-ed with a frown, I wasn't discreet about my hate, few were daring enough to say anything about it tho.

"This is a pub, you think some wealthy people will be around?"

"Well we got you so that will be some good cash to get you back."

"We'll see about who will get caught by who." I whipped my arm out in a circle above my head, freezing his men closest to me. "I do not play nice." I closed my fist and the ice cracked but didn't fall into pieces, that didn't stop the cracks from leaking blood, a mage is to do their job after all.

I stepped to the side to avoid a ball of water, fingers brushing it as it circled behind me and shot out as icicles.

I grumbled as they dodged and it hit the counter top, smashing the wood as the ice impaled it.

I took a step backwards and whipped my arm to launch a small blade into my hand from under my bracer and then chuck it through the forehead of a man.

The patrons fled screaming or hid behind furniture.

I kicked a stool up in the air and with the same leg kicked it at a man before throwing that leg down and sending the other up with a blast of air, a whip of water following it and slashing across the arms of another before I grabbed at the ground and yanked up to pull a stone pillar straight up and into his stomach.

I clashed my forearm with Varick, his puny flames flickering over my face, the look of shock as it did nothing but burn my hair strap away.

I punched him straight in the guts before his other fist decked me in the face and making me trip over a chair.

I fell on my back and swung my legs so I was spinning on it, a whip of water following them as I spun on my stomach and pushed myself on my feet.

I sparked lightning between my hands, much easier then trying to redirect it, and shot it out at his men.

The lightning charred the wood around as it wasn't a precise magic but more of an area of effect type since it moved erratically and only a redirected one could be focused enough to hit only one target.

I stomped my foot and a pillar of rock slammed the master mind into the ceiling before dropping him.

"Got you." I said with a smirk, standing on his back, pushing him back down on his stomach when he pushed up weakly.

"Halt!" I smiled and turned around.

"Guards, over here! These men tried to take money and people for ransom." I said, walking over before getting a blade pointed at me. "Wow there buddy, what's wrong?"

"You'll be taken into custody."

"What?! I stopped these guys!!"

"And caused collateral damage." I looked behind me as the chard wood, the splinters from the ice slammed in it, the deep cuts left by the water and the broken ground. "Do not resist."

I quickly gathered dust with air, small debris and droplets of water following, blasting a passage through the guard lines and sprinted out.

I was just helping, in no hell am I letting myself be arrested for this! I did nothing wrong!

But I didn't make it far before my body froze up uncomfortably, as if my body was made of ice but it had feeling to it still, the jitters of 'pain-but-just-not-quite-pain' skittering all over and under my skin as my body trembled, trying to move was impossible no matter how much I tried, it was as if my blood itself was frozen.

I just hovered off the ground and was spun around, Mystery with her arm lifted and hand turned towards her with that blood magic of hers, her arm to was slightly shaking as it is a highly advanced magic technique which still is hard, even for her.

"What's the meaning of this?" I didn't answer just gritted my teeth, knowing what was to come.
