"Wake up."
I opened my eyes. in the middle of the night, something telling me I must be awake, that there was no other choice.
I snapped my arm out and caught to arrow.
I quickly got out from under Kia and stood, whistling sharply.
Kela was faster to react then Mystery but at least both are awake.
I nocked the arrow I caught on my bow and pulled the string back before stomping my foot, a dome of ice shooting up around a stirring Kia.
"Why am I so easy to track!?" I spat in anger as I shot where the leaves rustled. "We should really avoid trees, to easy to hide in them." I said as I nocked two other arrows.
"Best idea you ever had." Mystery whispered.
"Now now don't start fighting." Kela sighed. "For fuck's sake we are surrounded.... Again."
"Language!" Me and Mystery yelled at the same time, me mostly because I could finally do it instead of hearing it while she was serious.
I let the arrows go, one arrow one kill, I emptied my quiver before discarding the weapon.
Mystery looked confused about something which is really bad.
"I can't feel them, as if they were ghosts."
"Well shit isn't it?"
"Lin, I am serious, I can't see them, I might be good at magic but wild magic still has many facets I've never encountered."
I kicked up and stone and kicked it again as it melted, zipping by her face and splatting across the face of the man appearing out of thin air a few seconds before.
"Some kind of camouflage magic?" I said. "Becoming one with wild magic?"
"Can't be possible." I skidded closer and I ducked down as she punched the figure behind me before I kicked my foot out to make them stumble and fall onto spikes of stone Mystery pulled up.
"It is tho." I rolled to the side and got to my feet in a crouch as she grabbed my forearm and pulled me in a spin to kick two men down before I landed upright. "Not only some dark dude Aurelius can be able to do that, after all there was by far enough time to discover a similar spell."
"It would be too confusing."
I threw my hands out, zapping lightning at the steadily growing crowd of people appearing from air, Mystery catching one of the stray ends of it and redirecting it further.
"It is also too confusing for me to be good with spirits and here we are!" I blasted air around us to push them all back, almost back to back with Mystery. "Plus Tra said a morally evil spirit is helping them."
"Spirits could indeed hold such knowledge." I smirked as her silvery flames burst from the flesh of those around us.
"Yeah, easily." Clashing blades with two different men before shoving them back just for them to be engulfed by flames. "Since Tra himself seems to know all, he can't be the only one."
The ground shook and we both looked up at the at least 20 foot tall orc, they had a gazeless stare and seemed to react to gesture commands from one of the men.
"Lin!"
"On it!"
I grabbed and chucked Mystery in the air before a vine reached back to grab my arm and catapult me in the air.
"Hello big guy!!!" I yelled while flying through the air, bending my legs just in time to not have them grabbed by the oversize orc and land on his wrist instead, sprinting his arm as with a wave two icicles stabbed through his eyes sockets and the top of his skull but he still was alive as he tried slapping me off with his other hand as he growled in pain.
I dove over and caught in his other arm and I let him throw it up in the air with me on it, giving me air time again.
I spun my body to slam my heel over the small area between the icicles to cave in the skull before pushing away, passing by a hair between his hands the almost closed in on my body.
I landed and a pillar of dirt I didn't make shot me up again, landing both feet solidly on the shoulders but leaning back so I would inevitably fall again.
I slashed my dagger across his throat and let myself drop straight down, cutting two lines down the entire length of his torso and jumps back not get sprayed with a stinking green blood of orc kind.
I shoved the dirt I am standing on backwards to avoid being crushed by the fallen body.
"They can't be more numerous then this, they played their final card." I told myself.
Soon after we stood at ready but no more came out of the blue.
"You might not see eye to eye but you can fight together." Kela said, making her way to us from way further away. I just shrugged it off, of course we fought good together, she taught me.
"I'll go find the horses, they got spooked, we are not staying here." Mystery said and walked off to do as she said.
I sighed, not caring for the bodies and hoping for sleep but I'll leave, I walked off to free Kia from her ice prison.
