I felt weightless.
Light.
Calm.
I opened my eyes to a snowy field and sat up, not feeling any different from before.
My missing arm was just a testament to what I died for.
"There is a way back." I looked up.
"Last time we met you were angry at me." I whispered.
"I had a reason to be, you were bitching about my daughter."
"Nice to see you again Seraphim, I would have expected my spirit mother." I said as she kneeled in front of me, hands on her knees.
"When a spirit dies they cannot come here, only the highly magical and spiritual people can, that's why my dear Merlin couldn't come with, at the time little was known of spirituality to humans outside of the gods but once my job here is done I'll go join him in the true afterlife."
"There is another afterlife?"
"That is not for me to talk about as your time is not now, unlike when Arianwyn died and was saved by the magic in the crystal you shattered, you still have magic, you kind of pulled a Belladonna."
"Don't tell me I lost all my magic to live."
"I said kind of.... Being half spirit helped out greatly here, your body is badly hurt but you technically have the ability to shift between existing there and here."
"Say that slower?"
"Gods.... You are like half dead but heart beating slow because you are here spiritually."
"Aaah got it... When can I wake up?"
"You'll awake on your own when you are stable enough.... And do not fear bleeding out, my daughter can deal with that."
"Mather is alright?" I said with wide eyes.
"Yes, she does have wild magic and if really emotional that gets free so she can mostly heal you girls.... Well her wounds and your ribs... Even I don't know how to fix your arm, lets just hope your elvish lover gets there in time, she knows many stuff from what I've seen and if putting back your arm is an option she is the one."
"Yeah, she is amazing." I started to feel sleepy.
"You really changed Lin." She smiled a bit. "But try to not be so brash."
"I will remind you I am not." I leaned back down, eyes closing.
"Sure, until we meet again."
There was a white haze.
I was feeling heavier with a soft itch to my shoulder before is slowly spread and got unbearable.
"Come on! Wake up!"
I am trying, just feel so tired.
"Lin!!"
Fuck...
If you insist.
I squinted my eyes, glaring through my hair, the eclipse couldn't have stayed just a bit longer? The damned sun is so strong.
"Thank gods." I turned my eyes to mather.
"Hi." I whispered.
"I never thought my bond to you would be my down fall and it almost cost us the win."
"What can I say?" I whispered. "I have more then one trick up my sleeve."
I felt a squeeze on me and arms shift, making numbness slowly dissipate and feel arms around me better.
