"How can mud be such a trouble?! I used it against Fin for fuck's sake!" I got whacked on the back of my head.
"Language and don't complain, your magical abilities come to you easily but when you try to understand the basics, you block up and loose control, you know how magic acts and should act but don't know why and what is the technique to it."
"I can use dust in the air or molten rock as you said tho, hell sand as you said."
"Sand and dust are like dirt and for the dust you rely on air, molten rock is still rocks but mud is a mix of water and earth so you gotta mold the two at the same time.... But you made more progress then I did first time."
"Ha!!" I pointed accusingly at her. "So I am not pathetic!"
"You are." She put her hand on my face and shoved my back before I dirtied her clothes. "I was too so you are too."
"You can't let me win can you?"
"Nope."
"Asshole." I ducked under her hand. "Ah-h--" I knocked over as her foot yanks my foot from underneath me, she was starting to piss me off. "Will you stop?!"
"Stop behaving like a child!"
"Oh gods be damned, fight me!"
"Out of question! You need to realize the world doesn't revolve around you!"
I pulled my hand back and froze, what am I doing? This is just proving her that she is right....
I dropped my hand and, like for many of my escapes, kicked up dust and sent it flying with a gust of air to make my get away.
---------------------------------------------
I walked alone, almost missing Kela trailing after me as I was used to it but I wanted to be alone.
I found my way to the garden in the center of the castle.
"An elm," I scoff, staring up at the much smaller tree then what we have at home. "Gods be damned I hate elm trees." Whenever I saw one I was reminded of Mystery.... But now also my family, they should be here tomorrow to come get me and I'll leave the elves all behind.
Tho that thought didn't sit well with me, I like it here and no one would judge my acts for being her daughter.
And she is annoying but I'd miss Kela, outside of Fin and Fen, she's the one that had no expectation for me tho not in the same sense as them.
Damn, I'd miss her but why does thinking of this already make me grumpy?
I sat down on the disliked tree's roots and leaned against the trunk.
"You humans are so clueless." I almost screamed as I fell of the root.
"Tra you motherfucker of a spirit what are you doing here?" I asked, a bit pissed, as I stood, he was the size of Soil and even that cat was bigger then he was.
"Like how the snakes flew and passed through, I can too."
"Oh yeah.... Logical and what did you mean?"
"Do I need to spell it out for you?"
"Yes."
"Why must all humans be so confused about love?"
"LOVE?!?! HAAAAAAH! No way!" I waved my arms around. "She might have gorgeous eyes and a pretty face but I hate her ass." He gave me a look as I crossed my arms. "Do. NOT. Use my words against me!"
"At least I am pretty sure you like her."
"Why would I?!"
"For one.... You always had a thing for elves when they visited your mothers and then there is that fantas--" "SHUTYOURMUZZLEYOULIZARD!!!" I spat out between surprised coughs as I tried to grab him but just threw myself over the root and into the dirt as he flew up in the air. "Come here and let me strangle you for knowing my deepest secrets!!!"
"I am your guide of course I know."
"And I who thought you were a big wise spirit! No, you are a dirty sneak of a filthy lizard!"
"Not really creative for an insult but this drama is not what I am here for."
"You litt-- what is it then?"
"Since spirits can pass through soon the humans and others will be able to accidentally and on purpose which also means the cult will act up more frequently and the more powerful spirits will also soon have a way out and not all are morally good or neutral."
"The being of many voices." I shivered as the voice stealer spirit was the first thing that came to mind, it would be the end if it escaped the spirit world. "So we need to stop them before whatever they planned with the darkness comes true and before more mixing between the worlds happens huh?"
"Yes."
"Shit." I rubbed my face. "Come on Tra, we've gotta head to dinner or the king will be displeased I missed it."
He landed on my shoulders and wrapped around my neck like a scarf.
I trotted back in.
"Be ready for a surprise."
"What is it?" But he didn't answer so I sighed and continued on my way.
