Welp.... It didn't go well.

At least she didn't start yelling my face off for leaving but she refused to believe the void wasn't absolute.

Like many times before, I walked out on her before I said something I might regret later.

I had gotten my foot fixed up too but still had a limp and got dressed before waiting outside for whoever Mystery had brought along.

My brows shot up when I saw them, not expecting my youngest sister.... But it was logical, as only Mystery could help her so it would be dangerous to leave her behind and the twin mages guiding two horse, Mystery's and mine they decided to bring.

I chuckled as I watched Kia tumble off the saddle she was sharing with Fin and plop face first on the ground before running over and headbutting my stomach with enough strength to make me stagger.

"Gods, your hugs are killer." I muttered as I draped my arms around her before snapping my arm out, a stone pillar rising and Fin collided with that instead of tackling us to the ground.

"Ouch." He whined.

"No tackle hugs." I gave him a look.

I don't know how many time I will need to tell my story of what happened since I left because I was getting bored of retelling it over and over.

"You used blood magic?!" I tensed up and stopped telling the story of the spirit plain visits, this once I think her anger is justified.

"Yeah, what of it? I didn't want to die and I was locked into a metal room that was cold, dark and the air was dry, air was the only element I could use against three people I couldn't see." I handed of Kia that was clinging to me to Fen.

Mystery dragged her hand down her face.

"Circumstances asked for it and of course I got hurt, you didn't want to teach me."

"Because you are not ready."

"To hell with that excuse!" I glared before taking a deep breath. "I'll never be ready in your eyes."

"You lack several qualities to be able to master this."

"And of course you don't."

"Lin, it is not a type of magic built for elemental use."

"Neither is this one but look." I flicked my wrist forth, sending my dagger flying and stab in the ground at her feet. "Awing isn't it?" I whipped my arm behind me and caught the dagger that came flying. "I shouldn't be able to do this either but look at that, I am."

"I--" She sighed. "We'll head home soon."

"I won't."

"Lin."

"I am serious, I just found out that my father is alive, my real father."

"What?!" Yeah, it was a surprise for me too.

"And I believe Tra here can help me find him."

"Tra??"

"Yeah Tra." It didn't take a lot of time for the spirit to show up in his small form. "Quite a helpful spirit he is, he told me about the merge and Aurelius being able to escape the void."

"The void is infinite."

"Oh yeah, you sure refuse to believe a spirit himself but I don't care, I can deal with this myself."

"Lin you are not leaving."

"It is my choice."

"And I decide for the mages as I am head mage."

"....I am done talking with you right now."

--------------------------------------------

"At least you didn't yell."

"She is infuriating Kela, so much." I sighed. "She doesn't want to let me go look for my father and refuses to believe what Tra has been telling me like.... Yeah maybe the void will indeed hold up and this cult is acting in vain but we won't know until this is all over."

"She'll understand, you might know the reason to her actions now as you told me but she still doesn't know how you feel does she now?"

"I can't even get to explaining it before she goes off on her own tangent."

"Don't worry, it'll get better." I smiled gently at her at her as she put her hand on my shoulder and rubbed it soothingly.

"Yeah I guess."

"Come on or they will start looking for you."

"Sure."

--------------------------------------------

I stayed silent the whole meal, eating and then sipping the wine served to me, playing slightly with Kia but mostly to my thoughts, trying to figure out how I could get Mystery to just listen if not to my feelings but about the danger that the void is not inescapable.

I coughed, the wine extremely bitter when I had clearly asked for it to be sweet.

"Dammit." I whispered, rubbing down my face with a cloth napkin before full on slapped with nausea.

"Lin!" Mystery had a reaction before I even understood what was going on and threw up on the ground, feeling myself fast spiraling to the worst and out cold soon after it.
