Dawn should bring joys of a new day, new possibilities and new ways to spend the day but my dawn came with the promise of bloodshed and death of the horizon.
I knew I would have been able to sleep on my eagle without falling off or falling behind, the others did have a slight snooze on their mounts but sleep didn't came to me, my worries keeping me awake, swirling through my mind, almost blinding me.
As the sun climbed in the sky so did the moon approach, bringing the inevitable eclipse closer.
"We are almost there." Tra warned as I would be the only one to hear him.
And his words were true, soon ruins and ruble spread over the horizon and from the morning a strong concentration of powerful magic could be felt pulsing under the ground even from this height.
"AHEAD!!" I heard aunt Amalia shout as arrows with a metallic shine rose towards us in a huge cloud.
I hopped up to my feet but dropped the eagle lower and threw my left arm out as I spun, all the metallic arrows following my spin and swirling around us before being shot straight down, they were prepared for mages as they felt us coming because of that spirit but they weren't prepared that I could redirect their arrows.
Unfortunately for me it couldn't be easy and most of these cultists were trained with wild magic.
I knew we couldn't fight like plus we were disgustingly outnumbered so I just let the eagle be shot down.
With flip through the heel of my boot was the first thing the slam into the ground when I landed, my own landing cushioned by my magic but the force of the hit tore up the ground and threw rubble around, creating a crater of at least 50 feet all around me, crushing and throwing many of the unsuspecting cultists.
"LIN!!" I whipped around to find mather and just sprint to her, she'd be the one able to know where the entrance is with her abilities in wild magic as it is faster to just go through a door then to punch a hole through a wall.
Without a thought I grabbed the arm she held out to me and yanked me, being much stronger then a human, and sent me upwards.
I twisted my body so when coming down on the two man in front of us, my boots crushed their face.
I pushed off them in a back-flip, passing just over mather as she slid past under me and sliced her sword through them before my feet touched the ground.
I reached back and grabbed the air but in reality I was holding something.
With a cry I yank my arm forth, out of instinct knowing how to tear open a gate to the spirit realm, many of the flying serpent spirits I met before rushing out the tear launching at my enemies.
I caught the fin of one and mather with my other arm and let it pull us up and fling us on top of the rubble pillars.
"I don't know." I said before she could ask how I figured it out so easily. "You were right after all, I am a spirit."
"Lets just go." I nodded. I pulled my bow off from around me, I have no arrows but that was not needed, pulling the string back and aiming up was enough time to freeze the water from the air into a sharp rod.
I let it fly with deadly accuracy despite these rods lacking fletching to help them fly straight, mather exceeds with a staff I do with a bow.
It was ease to channel the elements between my fingers in a solid enough form to be shot out at any one trying to get in out way or climb on the ruins we were running across but it was easier to work with water and ice.
I quickly slid my hand up to the recurve to whip the wood across a man's face.
"Teleportation spells." Mather hissed. "Last seen them in the trials I went through for your mother, not long ranged."
"Dammit." I stared at the bow, the wood snapped from the sheer strength of the hit, I liked this bow but I dropped it as I cannot waste time on this right now. "Lets get moving."
"Right."
This is hard.
I saw a rock fling from several ruins over and smash further away.
This is bound to get even harder.
I hope everyone is doing okay, we all know basically where to go but only us two truly know the right way.
