I ran through the country side, gusts of air and rocks pushing on my heels helped my move with great speed through the night of the second day I left, most likely noticed my absence on the first day's morning so I was eating these bitter leaves to give me a kick so I didn't need sleep and just run despite the on going aches of my muscles.

It was nice to have some time away, some silence finally, no expectations I couldn't meet, nothing to do or feel.

I slowed down finally when the moon was my only companion before also being swallowed by dark clouds.

I pulled my cape tighter around my shoulder and walked on carefully, lightning sparking between my fingers for light but I was to be careful.

I walked deep into the forest of pin and oak that grew up here, icy windows chilling me too the bone and whipped the cape around as heavy rain fell down.

"Just my luck." I whispered but walked onward, hoping to find shelter for the night so I could sleep finally and not do it in the cold that was surrounding me.

---------------------------------------------------

Despite the sudden raging elements around me it was a calm and relaxing walk.

Thunder echoed making my lightning waver, it could attract more lightning to it and I wasn't taught to redirect it properly, being calm like she says doesn't do the trick.

I walked slowly as I shielded my vision with a constant wave of my arm to keep the water and wind out of my face with the help of magic.

But I guess I wasn't careful enough with my lightning, a tree fell down across from me and I let it spark up in surprise, catching the energy gathering and channeling a down strike from natures own lightning.

It threw my body back, sent it tumbling across the ground and it end with my head smacking into several things, feeling myself slip away before I even stopped tumbling.

"Come on it can't be that hard." I grinned at my unsure mage mather, mother but said with an 'a' since I didn't want confusion. "I am 14, that's by far enough and I mastered water after all and you promised." I put my hands out by my side, brushing my blue hair from my face.

"You are only 14."

"Trust me, I will be the best student plus you did promise when I mastered water and mother agreed if I am careful."

"....This is dangerous, you need to concentrate if I am to teach you this got it?"

"Yes!... I mean of course, I am ready." I smiled, staring up at her as she had a sly smile.

"Okay so this is more wild magic then it is elemental but as an elemental you also control water so it should be the same." She pulled out the small blade in her bracer. "You are really sure? I need to be sure you won't use this skill wrongly."

"I promise, I want to be just like you, the best mage ever and help the people."

"Alright alright I get it." She pricked her pointer finger and waved her hand, that blood forming a really small ball above her hand, hovering there. "It is exactly like water reliant magic at its basic, just more complex in the way that it is living material and that is flows through your veins so you need to be careful, try to slowly bring this towards you like you would water." Well this wasn't what I wanted but at least it is something, I will show her!

I grinned and snapped my arm out behind me to send the drop zipping through the air at great speeds before I felt a soft click in my wrist.

---------------------------------------------------

I snapped awake, old pain that memory brought up dully pulsed through my body.

I glared at nothing until my vision cleared and saw I was looking at a wooden roof, I wasn't outside anymore.

I sat up, a thin cotton blanket rolling off my chest and looked around.

This looked like a hollowed out space under a tree's roots and I guess it was, the ground was stone with a fire pit in the middle and still going with a table and shelves filled with books and parchment papers for the rest of the inside, huge piles in the otherwise quite empty home.

But who's home was this?

I heard stone groan as a facade lowered and in stepped someone.

"I can't believe it." I whispered, wide eyed. "Belladonna?"

"Look at who's awake." The smile she wore pulled on her old features as she crossed her arms behind her back. "I feel like you have quite a story to tell."
