"Where are you?" I asked myself as Tra flew, searching the spirit plains with my gaze.

"Tra I am getting off." I stood up, a jungle is where I found Seraphim, she should know a thing or two if I can find her or maybe she'd be in here too.

"Be careful."

I jumped off and waited for the familiar hot gust of air to catch me before I landed.

This time this jungle was filled with floating trees, the roots out of the ground by several feet but still most of it rooted deeply and the ground was like those of marshes, watery and muddy as I pushed through.

Marching through the sludge was tiring so I climbed on the roots and hopped from one to the next, my legs cold from her mud sticking up to my thighs.

I stopped jumping when I arrived to the pond but saw no one, the muddy water not mixing with the clear blue of it, without thinking I jumped through and crashed through, not falling long before my back hit ground.

I groaned, where was the 'I'll catch you' air gust now?

I sat up and looked around the empty village I saw, small houses with a well in front of me, a white sky with snow falling.

"Pretty." I said as I stood, looking around as I walked down the street.

I found the edge of a river with a patch of those dragon blossom flowers growing on the shore, carpeting the whole shore.

"They hadn't been this dense last time I was in my home town." I whipped around.

"Mystery!!" I latched on her.

"Gods be damned Lin I am not dead.... Or at least not totally dead." She said when I let her go. "And weren't you the type to not want hugs?"

"I'm sorry." I whispered, ignoring the small playful jab of hers, head hanging. "It is all my fault."

"Oh dear gods." I heard her sigh and I could picture her hand rubbing her forehead as she thought in my mind. "Rise you head Lin, I don't need to make you the same speech as your mother gave you do it?"

"B-but what I said, what happened, what I did--" "Is not your fault, emotions are the bane of humanity and all that can feel, this scar I have on my face is not from some fight but your mother seeing a skin taker with my form with another woman." I didn't know that....Well I never really asked.

"But you almost died because of me."

"I would die for you."

"But I don't want you too!! You are insufferable, never taking into account what you say pains me, never showing that you like what I do, always somehow make me feel like a disappointment to you and even so, I can't lose you.... I don't wanna loose you...."

"Lin." This time I saw her hand drag down her face. "Why did you say nothing?"

"I.... No one ever saw anything bad with it, all saying you were always like this, no one got why I felt hated and looked down upon by the one person I did all to please, got in trouble for to have her attention, did anything to not have her shot me down with a word."

"I never hated you Lin."

"Yeah I know that now! But it is hard... Hard to get it, all my life I tried chasing an ideal to living up to what I am, a legacy, but seemingly ever getting close to that goal."

"You are stupid for thinking I could ever hate you Lin."

"I know! But everyone else had some reference point to tell you were being the usual you but I got nothing, left to think it was normal to be looked down on, never thought it wasn't the case."

"Lin, you idiot..."

"I know..."

"You don't need to follow my path for me to be proud of you."

"Sorry..."

"Carve your own, you are capable of it since after all..." She stopped talking waving at the water. "Look in it."

I raised a brow and walked to it.

"Scary isn't it? How emotions such as anger and hurt free our true potential." I heard her as I gaped at the image of myself, hair white as snow and eyes glowing white, winds holding me up in the air and the massacre I lead. "You are not like me, not a human dragon hybrid child but you are something not entirely human I think, not even I can shape the elements like this, I can bring rain in my sadness but not premature winter that now rests over Solor."

"Wait winter?" I asked her.

"Yeah, you made winter come in advance and stick unlike my rain clouds that dissipate when they aren't needed."

"No." I shook my head. "I somehow have affinity to spirits and this golden liquid of no other use then to bend spirits comes to my wishes, I might have angered a winter spirit or tapped into their strength as you know I was affiliated with ice before."

"Think as you will, you'll see I was right."

"Sure sure..."

"Lin.... Go find your father." I looked at her. "He might have the answers, I had found you when you were four, you could have spent time with him before being on the streets."

"You think that man would know anything about me?"

"You think so too or you wouldn't have sent the knights out."

"Touché, but what the cult?"

"We can't do much until we know why they want you to join them or killed if you don't."

"And you think that man would know?"

"He must have an idea why you are so special, he is your blood father and maybe your blood mother is still alive."

"Technically you are also my blood mother, look what you did to my hair." I smiled. "Look... I know I am impulsive and all but I wouldn't choose them over you."

"I like you too Lin."

"Didn't you say love before?"

"Don't make me whoop your ass back to the material world."

"I'd like to see you try old lady."

I grinned happily to myself as she shook her head, happy to have found her here.
