I was in the bathroom getting myself together. I looked in the mirror and stared at my reflection. Brian used to tell me I had a sort of brightness in my eyes that he would always find himself getting lost in.
He told me he felt at home when he looked at them. I found it strange considering my eyes were a deep chocolate brown color. Sort of like Freddie's, yet within time, I started to see it myself.
As I stared at my reflection, I didn't see that brightness anymore. I saw pain, stress, and unhappiness. Which was what I felt lately. I wanted nothing more then to go back where I belong, and now that I know I'll be going back, it made me feel better.
I splashed water on my face, patted my face dry with a hand towel, and made my way back into the living room.
I had heard voices, and I immediately recognized them. "Where is she?" I heard Brian's soft voice ask. "Where's who?" I heard freddie say back. "Freddie you said-." John started before he saw me.
"Hi, deaks." I said, smiling as I saw the two in front of me. He began to walk closer to me, and he just stared at me. I saw how much he had aged. He looked happy, but there was a pang of sadness in his eyes when he looked at me.
"I'm so glad you're alright." He told me as he gave me a hug. I hugged him back, and it was more of a softer hug. I didn't want to hurt him somehow. He seemed fragile. "Yes, I'm alright." I told him, as he let go. I then felt a hand on my shoulder, and I knew it was brian.
"Bri!" I exclaimed, hurriedly hugging him. The hug we shared was quite longer than the one John and I shared. We held on tighter, and we were rocking back and forth.
"Look at you!" He said, as I let go. I did a playful 360 turn. "How long have you been back?" Brian asked. "For about a year now." I told him. He looked surprised. "That's it?!" He had asked. I nodded in confirmation.
"Is that the only reason you called us over? You said there was an emergency" John asked, sitting down on Freddie's velvet sofa. "Well yes, but no." I had told them. "But that doesn't matter, why haven't you guys-" I was interrupted by a gasp.
I looked to where the sound came from, and I saw an aged Roger Taylor. He just stared at me before I said something. "Hey, roggie." I said, with a small smile on my face. He didn't say anything, he just gave me a big hug, lifting me up. I let out a laugh.
"My god, I've missed you! We've all missed you!" He told me, looking me up and down. "I've missed you guys too! This past year has been hell." I told him. "It's only been a year for you? It's been around 40 years for us." He told me.
I felt bad. It hurt to hear that. "That's why you have each other. I might've not been there, but you guys were supposed to be there for each other. You guys are supposed to be like brothers. I thought me leaving would make you closer, but boy was I wrong." I said, scolding them.
They were all sitting on the sofa, and I was standing up, lecturing them. They all just looked up at me, guiltily. "Brooklynn, you don't understand, it was hard on us. You leaving without any explanation, and finding out that you told freddie everything, but didn't tell me anything." Brian said. That had made roger clear his throat.
"Uh, us. You didn't tell us anything." Brian corrected himself. This had made me let out a sigh.
"Guys, I had told freddie because he was the one who was effected the most. I had a feeling that I would be leaving soon, I just had to make sure I got my point across to Fred. I've never meant to hurt any one of you guys. I love you all so fucking much."
