Restricted// Anakin Skywalker x Reader (Book 1)

Chapter 1

"Come on y/n!" The young boy pleaded. The small girl was already stressed. This boy pushed her to her limits. "Fine. But if I fail I'm not trying again." She huffed, lifting her head and closing her eyes with her legs crossed on the floor. She focused, this time something changed. A familiar sensation flowed  from her to the boy. "You did it!"

She opened her eyes and looked up to see him hovering in the air with his arms out. Both of them exchanged the last smiles both of them would receive from each other in a long time.

"Are you nervous?" Master Shaak Ti asked from the couch. "Yes. Very." Patting any wrinkles or imprints on my clothes, I saw my reflection in the mirror. I fixed the slightest imperfections, whether it was an out of placed hair or a crinkle in my boot. "How long has it been?" Standing up from the couch, Shaak Ti witnessed my nervousness unfold. 

"Ten years."

My master came over to me and stood behind me. She put her hands on my shoulders and looked in the mirror at me, "Y/n, as your master I'm supposed to say to not let your personal feelings get in the way, but as a friend, I can say that I am excited for your reunion."

"Thank you master." We turned our attention towards the ding of the elevator. He's here. Breathing slowly, I prepared myself to see my childhood crush and best friend walk out the metal doors.

The doors slid open and my breathing stopped as Anakin Skywalker walked into the room. Our eyes locked. His perfect blue eyes were the same. He had short and spiky light brown hair with a long padawan braid and his beautiful blue eyes glistened in the light. "Hello Master Kenobi." Master Shaak Ti greeted as she shook his hand.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I stepped up and shook Master Kenobi's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Master."

"It's finally good to meet you as well, y/n. I hear you have quite the reputation among the padawans." I gave him a friendly smile then turned my eyes to Anakin, who's eyes met mine again.

His eyes traveled up and down my figure. "It's good to see you y/n." A smirk appeared across his lips. My mouth was about to drop before I felt everyone staring at me expecting me to do something. "Y- you too."

We moved to the couch as we waited for Senator Amidala to arrive. My Master and I sat across from Master Kenobi and Anakin. Trying to pay attention to their conversation, I felt his eyes burning in me, but I ignored it.

"We are here to track down this bounty hunter that's attempting to kill Senator Amidala." Master Kenobi leaned forward, "We have to extremely vigilant tonight. My senses feel uneasy."

"Mine do too. My padawan and I have placed cameras around the apartment so we can monitor every room, but have caught nothing so far." My master continued to explained to Obi Wan as Anakin's eyes burned into my skin. It was hard to pretend like I didn't notice his stare, but I managed. 

"The recent attempt on Senator Amidala's life made my padawan and I very uneasy. The attacks are becoming more and more prominent." Over the past months, Senator Amidala's bounty has flattered many bounty hunters. We still don't know who has set the bounty, but until we do we have been instructed to protect her with the help of Obi Wan and Anakin.

The elevator doors slid open, revealing Padme in an elegant purple dress and gold headpiece. Her smile grew when she saw us. Walking towards her, both of us held our arms out to embrace each other. "Hello again Padme." 

"Hello, y/n. It's good to see you again." Her eyes moved past me to Obi Wan and Anakin. "Master Kenobi, it's been far too long." She shook his hand. "Indeed it has." She turned her attention to Anakin. "Ani? Why you've grown." Padme chuckled. "So have you, more beautiful I mean."

Oh.

"Oh Ani, you'll always be that little boy on Tatooine." She led us to the couch, this time I sat by Anakin. "I don't need protection, I need answers." Anakin reassured, "We will find out who's trying to kill you Padme."

Confused, I looked at him. "We are here to protect her." Master Kenobi told him from his chair. "Why else would we have been assigned here master. Protection is the local security's job, not Jedis."

He's bold.

"We don't question the council or their orders, you will learn your place my young padawan." Obi Wan scowled at him. "Yes master." Anakin mumbled.

"Why did she turn off the cameras?" Master Kenobi asked, looking at the screen in his hands. "She doesn't like us watching her Master, but she has programmed R2 to monitor the room." I replied as I sat in the chair.

Anakin followed and sat on the couch next to me. "How have you been y/n? I've heard you made a reputation for yourself. You seem to be flourishing." Flushed, I replied, "I've been good. How about you, the Chosen One." He smiled, "I-"

Suddenly I felt a disturbance in her room. Anakin did too. Our heads turned and we got up. The four of us ran into Padme's room.

Anakin jumped onto Padme's bed and ignited his lightsaber, slicing through two slugs on crawling top of her. She gasped, sitting up out of bed. Obi Wan turned his head, then leaped out the window. The droid he clung to flew away.

"You two go. I'll stay here." Shaak Ti ordered as she hurried towards Padme. Sprinting outside, we went to a yellow speeder. Anakin hopped in the driver seat and took off towards the droid and Obi Wan as I situated myself in the passenger seat.

We kept up with Obi Wan by speeding past the traffic below him, getting yelled and cursed at from the other drivers. Then, a blaster shot hit the droid, making Obi Wan free fall through the traffic.

"There he is!" I announced as I saw Obi Wan above us. "I see him." Anakin flew in place of his falling Master.

Obi Wan fell and clung onto the back of the speeder. I gave him my arm and brought him up next to me. Anakin pressed the accelerator and left the bounty hunter's course.

"What are you doing?" I questioned. "Where are we going? He went completely the other way." Obi Wan crossed his arms as Anakin stopped the speeder in the middle of the air. "I'm deeply sorry Master."

"That was some shortcut, Anakin. Once again you've proved-" Anakin look out the side and got up out of the seat. Before doing anything else, he winked at me. 

"If you'll excuse me." He jumped out the speeder and fell through the flying ships. Flinging ourselves to look over the side of the speeder, we saw Anakin land on the bounty hunter's speeder. Grabbing ahold of the wheel, I sped down after them.
