Wally's house was right on the beach. His mother worked at a hotel and his father owned a business taking people out to scuba dive. Wally was an only child so he was by himself a lot. There were many different things to do around the beach like swimming, finishing, surfing, going to the aquarium, and so much more.

Around here there was talk about sirens. Story's on being seduce then almost eating. Or someone saw a friend being eating by one. Others say they seen them out there swimming. there were tails of them destroying ships and killing sailors. It was said there evil creatures who hunt humans. Most people didn't believe the stories. Wally didn't even believe them. They were just stories, right?

He didn't. Intel today.

Wally was sitting on the dock fishing. He has his radio next to him, playing. A water bottle next to him and bate for the finish. him being clumsy he knocked the radio over and into the water, sinking. "Damn it." He frowns. Then he saw bubbles coming up the surface. "What the.."

A boy his age popped out seconds later holding his radio. Except it wasn't a human boy. His blue eyes were more animal like. His ear were pointed. And more shockingly he had a tail. A bright blue gilled tail.

"S-siren!" Wally stutters backing away from the creature. But stops when he notice he wasn't attacking and starts to calm down. The creature frowns and sits the radio on the dock then sank back into the water. "No wait!" Wally shouted but it was already gone. "Ugh. You dumb Wally. A siren is here and you just gone freaking out. Idiot." Wally scoff himself.

Wally waits for a while to see if it will return. It didn't. He spent days researching all about sirens. Legends, encounters, documentary's. He learns all that he could. each day going out on the dock as he read books about them.

A took almost a month before Wally saw the creature again. This time he was calm. "Hi. My names Wally. Do you have a name?"

The creature shook his head slowly. Wally figures the siren knew English since he responded. "Can you speak?..." he ask.

The creature nods slowly, watching him closely. "Yes." It spoke.

"That's cool! Do you have a name?" Wally questioned

The creature gave Wally a shook of his head.

"oh. Well. How about we call you bob?" Wally ask. "Do you like that?"

The creature didn't respond.

"Or what about Chris?" Wally tried for that option.

No response.

"Maybe Sammy?" Wally offered.

"Sam-my.." the creature repeated him.

Wally's face lit up. "You like that one?!"

The creature nods. "Sam-my!" He points to himself. "Sammy."

The human and the siren became best friends. Sammy showed Wally all the cool spots underwater. And Wally feed him human food and taught him more words.

At the age of 16 Wally's parents wanted Wally to get a job. There he made lots of friends who we hung out with when he wasn't doing work or school. At first he felt bad for not being able to see his old friend all of the sudden but over time he forgot about him.

When Wally was around 22 he works for the fish market. They'd bring in tones of fish on the daily. And although it smelled it was a good pay.

It was just like any other, they were bringing up the net of fish. Once it was out of the water Wally froze. He saw that same siren. But grownup. Same colored tail. Sammy ears. Same blue eyes but this time there was fear in them and he was clutching his neck. Wally knew it couldn't breath out of water. He slams the -DROP- button and watched the net disappear underwater.

"Whoops!" He says "my bad!"

"Wally! What the fuck did you do!" His boss walks up, pissed. But passed him he could see Sammy waving a thank you to him.

"I'm sorry boss. It was an accident. It won't happen again!" Wally says.

"It better not happen again! This is coming out your check! Understand?" His boss says.

"Yes sir. Sorry sir." Wally nodded.

"Good. Now get back to work!" The boss leaves him and Wally turns back to the water. He nods at the siren then watches him swim away and continues his job.
