  It was Joey's annual Christmas Eve party he holds for his employees so they can have some fun together before there break. Lights were hung on the wall and flickering the different colors of red, green, blue and yellow. Sammy was playing the rocking music, the presents for secret Santa was underneath the big Christmas tree that they all decorated together and everything was having a blast there. Well...everyone but grant.

He sat in the darkness corner watching everyone have fun with someone. Joey was chatting up Henry as they got drunk off eggnog, Susie and Alison danced slowly together hell even Burtrum was flitting with Lacie and Sammy was with Norman for most of each song. But He was all alone.

He has always been alone every since his old man died when grate was 17 his mother when he was 5. But even then at the age of 5 he never enjoyed the holidays. Christmas was always hard for him in his father after losing his mom. They never had money for a Christmas let alone food. There for grant never liked celebrating it, even now. He wished he had stayed home. But there was free food here and he haven't had money for food yet.

He was still sitting in his corner watching his employees and waiting for the food to be brought out when Shawn Flynn came up
And sat next to him. Grant usually don't like talking to people but didn't want to be rude when Shawn would come and talk to him. "Marry Christmas Eve." Shawn said with a smile.

Grant gave him a small fake smile back and wishes he would go away. "Thanks Shawn..same to you.." he replied in a short way.

Shawn glanced over at grant with a stare grant couldn't read. "Not enjoyIng Christmas this year?"

Grant always laughed bitterly. "I don't remember the last time I truly enjoyed Christmas." He replied laying his head back on the wall and closed his eyes.

Shawn was so quiet for a long time that grant thought he had gone up
and left him. "Come with me, tonight." He automatically said, making grant jump in surprise. He didn't understand why Shawn was still here or why he wanted for him to go with Shawn.

He opened his eyes and looked right at Shawn who was grinning in a way that made grants heart skip. "Huh?!"

"Come with me, tonight." Shawn repeated. "Come on, ill be fun and you will enjoy this Christmas." He replied, standing up and holding out his hand for grant.

Grant looked at Shawn's outstretched hand then at his happy face, unsure. He didn't want to go out and spend money he didn't have on stupid holidays junk but he also didn't wanna be rude and decline.

"Come on grant." Shawn said. "Just come out one night with me and if you didn't have fun then I'll leave you alone, alright?" He offered.

"Alright. Fine" Grant sighed and took his hand, excepting his offer of fun. Shawn smiled widen as he pulled grant up from his spot and he and grant leave the party.

It was still early in the night when they left the party so everything was still open but most people were at a party leaving the side walks mostly empty. The two walked with ease down to Main Street a couple blocks away. Once they arrived Shawn noticed a bakery selling some hot chocolate. "Would you like some hot chocolate? My treat." He ask grant. They argued a little bit on who's paying by the end Shawn won and happily pays for both there hot chocolates.

They took there drinks and went around Main Street peering in different shop windows to see what they were selling this year. A chocolate shop was selling chocolate Santas and elves, a toy store had there latest gadgets prompted up at the window, the book store was promoting the seasons books to read. They were also looking at the pretty lights around the windows and rooftops together as well as seeing the look all of those statues.

They came to a couple of horse carriage at the end of the street, each with a beautiful horse. Shawn was again happy to pay for an hour ride for both of them. They got to go around the city looking at the different lights shows that houses had. They got to stop and hear a choir sing at a show in the park
And they got to watch a few religious shows.

Once they were finished with the horse carriage and Shawn walked Grant home for the night. Grant turned to Shawn before he going inside. "Shawn...can we do this Again?...doing things together...?" He ask him, feeling his cheeks going red.

Shawn looked at him with a smile. "Of course we can grant. I'll see you soon. Goodnight."  With that grant shut the door and silently cheered. He finally hard a friend in the world!
