Halloween was today! Grant hated it. He didn't like being out and having to deal with all the people around him or having to deal with the bullies that target their prey for cruel pranks. He didn't like scary things ether. It gave him so much anxiety. But he's first-ever boyfriend wanted him to come trick-or-treating with him this year. He didn't want to let Shawn down so he had agreed to it.

He had bought a vampire costume just yesterday at the Halloween store on the way from school. He'd ask a blonde kid that was a few years older, who worked there, and he helped grant look for one that wasn't to scary but spooky enough that he wasn't going to be bullied for being to scared. The employee pick a vampire.

He was nearly finished putting it on when somebody knocked on the door. Her herd his mom answer it then the voice of Shawn. Next her herd Shawn running up his stairs and into
His room. "Ay! Grant!"

Grant smiled shyly at him. "Hey Shawn!" He greeted. "Cool costume!" Shawns costume was a werewolf. And he even smeared blood around the mouth of the mask. It made grant a bit nervous but he didn't say anything.

"Thank you!" Shawn smiled, his cheeks becoming a soft pink. "I love yours better. The vampire is a Halloween classic!"

Grant grinned. "Heh. Thank you, Shawn."

Shawn  nodded and gently wrapped his arm around his shoulder. "Are you ready to go?"

Grant looked at the mirror to check then at Shawn and nodded. "Yes. I'm ready."

Grant grabbed his candy bag and headed down stairs with Shawn. " Mom I'm going out now!" He called out as they were running out the door. The sun was starting to set and the trick-or-treaters we're starting to emerge from the creepy houses.

There first house was the one next door. It was super scary. There was flickering lights and scary much but that's it. So grant was alright by this one. They got to the door and Shawn knocked on it. A few seconds later a woman dressed up as a giraffe opened up.

"trick-or-treat" they both side in unison, holding out there bags for the candy.

"Ohhh spooky." She smiles, grabbing the bowl of candy and putting in a huge chunk in each of the bags.

"Thank you." The replied again in unison and turning away for another house.

For a while it was great. They went to house to house, getting there bags full of candy and having a blast. They didn't even see the bullies around.

The problem started when they arrived upon a haunted house. Grant can hear the screams of terror, the bagging on the walls, the chainsaws and he started to feel nervous again. What's worst was that he lost Shawn. He was just there but now he wasn't.

"S-Shawn?..." grant called out. There were people everywhere going in or running out and lights that blinded him though the makeshift fog. He began wondering around to look for him. He had to move pass scary looking creatures who only made him more anxious. "Shawn! We're are you!" He called out again. A witch bumped into him and gave him an odd look, a horror villain ran into him and many more stumbled on him as he was looking.

Grants braking point was when the bullies popped out of the trees and screaming at grant to scare him. Grant collapse having a panic attack and now fully sobbing. They bullies laughed and teas the boy.

"Hey! Leave him alone!" Shouted a known voice.

The tree bullies stopped and turn to grant. "Why should we?!" Tom said, pulling off his Michael Myers mask. "It's Halloween!"

"Whatever man. Let's just go. There baby's." One of the others said. Tom rolls his eyes and left with them.

Shawn ran to grant who was still having a panic attack. "Grant..grant! Look at me." He turns grants head so he could see him. "I'm here. Breath ok? Deep breaths"

Grant begins to slow his breathing down and start to relax. His hands were still Tremoring and his heart was still racing but not so much now.

"I'm sorry I made you come out here Grant. I didn't think it was going to be that scary." Shawn hugged him. "I'm sorry."

Grant leans into him arms. "I-I'm s-sorry I r-ruin h-Halloween f-for you." Grant felt so shitty. Shawn had been talking about his plans for Halloween all month long and he had to ruin it.

"You didn't ruin it grant." Shawn laid his head on grants. "Please don't think you ruined it. We got a lots of candy and we got to do it together!"

Grant smiled at him. Shawn had always seen that positive side of things. Even when all feels bad there would be Shawn giving you a positive about it. "Thank you." He mumbled.

Shawn hugged him a little tighter. "it's no problem. How about we go to my places. Watch hocus-pocus and eat candy?"

That sounded the best. Grant didn't mind kid shows for Halloween and to watch it with Shawn would be amazing! "Y-yes please."
He nodded.

Shawn kisses grants head and got up. He held out his hand and helped grant up to. Then the vampire and werewolf walked away from the haunted house and to Shawns.
