I keep bringing him up so randomly, i fucking love it haha
Naomi POV
I walked into the Starbucks, it was extremely late i realized that but i didn't care. The three lonely workers all gave me the same tired look as i ordered my ice coffee, i threw my card down as i stated my name quickly. I waited a little impatiently as they made my coffee, my mind was racing with all the possibilities of why Matty could have said her name.
"Naomi!" The man called, a little loudly for only one fu.cking person in this place. I walked up to the counter taking the coffee from him, storming out just as fast as i walked in. I continued to sip on my drink as i walked with no real direction, the caffeine was not helping my already racing mind. He's drunk, very drunk i might add. Maybe just maybe something reminded him of her? As i continued to walk through the nearly empty streets, minus some homeless people, i just kept thinking. Maybe someone said her name? Maybe a fan brought her up? I know some people still wanted them to be together, i shook my head as i came to a stop light. I don't know why he said her name, but as soon as he did i saw my mother's smirk. My mother...sh.it, she would have known anything and everything about her. I continued to walk on as i auidably scoffed, but why would i even want to ask my mother about her? I knew she would just love the fact that im bothered about my boyfriend speaking his ex's name in his sleep. Mid step i nearly fell right on my face,
"Sh.it." I said clutching tightly to my Starbucks, as a rather strong had came into contact with my arm. I turned immediately trying to find out if a murderer just found his next victim. As soon as we made eye contact we both groaned.
"Should've let you face plant." Alex said letting go of my arm as i pulled it away from his grip. I scoffed as i looked at him, he looked so different.
"That would be least of my problems. But thank you." I muttered as i looked down at my feet. He looked much older, his hair was darker, his face more defined. What the hell did i miss?
"What the hell are you doing out here this late anyways?" Alex asked as he began to walk in my direction, great. I was most certainly not telling him why i was out here, he would just have a laugh about it.
"Just wanted some Starbucks." I said taking another sip from my cup. Alex scoffed down at me as we came another stop light,
"Right. It's nearly midnight no one will willingly walk all the way to Starbucks at midnight." Alex said as his large hand slammed the yellow button. I sighed as i clutched onto my jacket,
"Well i'm someone who will willingly walk at midnight for Starbucks." I said as the little walking man came into view. I lookd over at Alex who towered over me, his face set straight ahead of us.
"Uhuh. Something is obviously wrong with you. You look like hell." Alex said rather bluntly, but i grew used to his antics as every time we literally ran into each other he was the rudest pric.k on the planet.
"Thanks, i'm just going for a new look." I said sarcastically as he smirked. And for a second i stared a little too long, he looked so different.
"Well sorry to break it to you but, don't go for this look." He said easily as we continued walking. I scrunched my nose as i looked over at him,
"What are you doing out here anyways?" I asked. His pink lips pulled into a straight line,
"Nothing. Just taking a walk." Alex replied swiftly. I scoffed myself, that was almost as believable as me really coming out here for Starbucks.
"Right." I said amused, Alex rolled his eyes,
"I don't even know why im talking to you. Im surprised you're still here and haven't dissapeared off the face of the earth." Alex said. And that comment got to me a little,
