Two chapters today bc I forgot to post yesterday))

You made a bitter expression before loudly scoffing. "Me? No. I'm worried, idiot. I'll prove to you I can do it. Come back in a week." "Tomorrow." "Okay, come back tomorrow and see my sudden improvement." You boasted as he disappeared into the soil. The moment he was gone, you fell to the ground and sighed. "54 handsigns? Somebody might as well kill me before I finish the jutsu." You grumbled as you began to practice.

It was beginning to turn dark, and you managed to get through only 43 of them before getting confused as hell and stopping. You loudly groaned and ran your fingers through your hair, stressed. You repeated them in your head, your pace of movement unbelievably fast until 42. You continued again, easily moving from handsign to handsign until you made it to 42. You continued on and finally on probably the seven hundredth or so of trying to remember everything, you managed to finish it and water slammed up, a loud roar following as a water dragon formed above you. You smirked, releasing the dragon and watching as a tree or so was crushed under the weight and impact of the large amount of water.

You fell to your knees as it gave out from you, hugging the cool ground. As much as you wanted to sleep, Obito would kill you. You shoved the book into your shirt before staggering up and walking forward. You were greeted by Sasuke who caught you as you fell forward and gently allowed you to lean against him. "You're overworking yourself, Y/n." Sasuke frowned. "No, I'm not. I just started ninjitsu and I'm already fourteen. I will have to practice like it's the last day on earth in order to catch up to everybody." You sigh, only just noticing that you were in the Uchiha side of the village. You tilted your head and gave him a questioning look.
"My mother and Obito gave permission for you to stay over. Obito feels guilty he's having you work and watch over him all day so he wanted you to take a small break." Sasuke smiled warmly, seeming quite excited. You felt cold glared on you, but ignored it and giggled. "Your family is nice. I'd be proud to have a well built family like you." You grin widely, head tilting lightly.

"That's good to hear." A deep voice rumbled, causing goosebumps to run over your skin and you snapped your head to turn around and look at him. It was just Fugaku. He eyed you with the most judgingly look anybody has ever given you and your heart just dropped. "Who's this, Sasuke?" He demanded, and you just slowly turned to Sasuke. "You didn't tell your dad I was coming over?" You whisper, eyes wide.
"Mother said she could stay over for the night. She's a helper of the hokage and her house is under reconstruction and mother offered that she could stay the night." He explained, and it was like he wasn't lying. Wait. Did he even know you had no home?

Probably not.

His father eyed you with sudden interest at the mention of you being the hokage's helper. "I've never seen her around though." He huffed as he began to walk ahead. Sasuke let out a quiet sigh of relief and grabbed your arm gently before tugging you along. It was odd, seeing the Uchiha clan area. One moment ago they were dead and now they were alive.

You stopped hesitantly as you two arrived at the doorway. "I'm home!" Sasuke yelled out into the house, kicking his shoes off. His mother, Mikoto appeared from the kitchen and smiled widely. "Welcome back." He chuckled, pausing as her attention turned to you, who looked visibly confused on what to do. "Hello." You eventually smiled, and Mikoto rushed over and helped you up into the house. "Come in, come in! Don't hold back." She smiled, technically dragging you into the kitchen and sitting you down.

Sasuke scoffed as he watched you look over your shoulder and eye him, confused. "Are you hungry? I cooked earlier for you and Sasuke." She grinned in a friendly manner. "Uhm-" you murmured, turning to Sasuke for reassurance. He was leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed and smirking in your direction. You turned red. It was obvious he wouldn't help. "Some food will do, thank you." You finally spoke up, smiling warmly in appreciation. She clapped her hands together in happiness and opened the fridge, placing a small plate of tomatoes on the table with some rice balls.
