Itachi stared into his village beside you, debating on his final choice. It had been three months since your confrontation with him, and he seemed to be hesitant with everything, but the Uchiha's hate was growing due to his father's death. It was either watching everything happen or stopping it before it got too worse.

"I'm ready." He whispered, shaking. You stared at him before gently grabbing his hand. "Don't worry, I know your parents won't mind. From what I saw, they were proud of you for standing up." You smiled at him. He nodded before he put his cloak hoodie on and walked through the night village with you. "Remember, Sasuke is the only one to live." You gently reminded him before running ahead, your eyes gleaming as you silently opened the door to the first house, holding your katana.

You were shaking too, fearing the fact that you had to kill somebody like this. You bit your lip as you approached the room where the parents of the family slept. You took another breath before kicking the door down and running forward. Before the parents had any idea of what was happening, you pulled the katana forward and sliced their throats with the blade, followed by a warm, sticky substance on your hand and face.

You nearly threw up at the feeling and sound. You quickly backed away and kicked the kids room open, and did the same thing you did for the parents. Killed them.

The night continued on, and the more houses you went through, the more blood that covered your face and hands. You stopped in your tracks as you saw a man running towards you, screaming for help. You chuckled bitterly before you ran forward and stabbed their chest with the two katana and kicked him backwards, sending the man across the ground.

The man choked out in pain as he tried to cling onto dear life. Your eyes drifted away from the horrible sight, and you slowly fell to your knees, nearly breaking into tears, but no tears spilled. You lifted your gaze to see Sasuke standing there, looking horrified at what he was seeing. You slowly stood up and yanked the katana out of the dying man, killing him nearly instantly.

Sasuke glared at you with hatred before he screamed in complete hatred and ran forward. You glared at him before you jumped out of the way. "Why would you go this far!" He cried, turning sharply towards you.

"Because, Sasuke. I did it my way." You laughed. "I faced this all and stood tall.  I've laughed and cried with you, and I find it so amusing." You continued as you continued to dodge the attacks he threw at you. "You're sick!" He cried. "I know. I'm sorry, Sasuke." You whispered before you jumped up and landed on a tree branch.

Sasuke stared up at you, tears in his eyes. He saw the bags under your eyes. You lost sleep over this. You lost sleep because of the guilt and exhaustion of overthinking. "You don't even want to do this!" He snapped, disgust thick in his voice.

You stared at him. "You're right." You murmured before looking at the blood on your hands. "Only a maniac would want to do this willfully. I can't see the fun in this. I can still freshly feel and remember how it felt when I killed my first victim. I can still hear the cut off screams, but because I blocked their vocal cords they couldn't properly talk or scream, but their blood continued to gush out their throats as they stared at me in horror. I can still remember the faces of my victims." You went on, tears finally spilling from your eyes as emotional pain began to weigh down on you. Sasuke was already on the ground, unable to handle the fact that the parents that showed love to him were dead.

"You see, Sasuke, I'm beyond recognition. Nobody can help me anymore. At this point, I might become the most wanted criminal. It's been three years since we've split up paths, and it'll be a few more years until I will show the world complete hell. I'll come after Naruto next, so you better watch out." You told him before jumping away, your throat growing tight. This was just too painful.

"I'll kill you!" You heard Sasuke scream into the night sky, his voice cracking. He repeated the words, followed by a pained wail. You bit your lip and stopped when you were far enough. You sat down and let all the pain out. You threw up, your head pounding as you continued to cry. You held the katana tightly, gasping quietly.

You silently held the katana to your chest before silently pulling it away with a deep sigh. You just couldn't bring yourself to that. Something didn't allow you to. M

As you sat there, you felt like you felt a hand squeeze your hand softly, and warmth spread through your body.

"Don't give up!" Something screamed at you.

You nodded silently before pulling yourself up. Itachi landed beside you, looking equally destroyed mentally as you. "It'll all pay off." You spoke up, but you didn't talk to him. You were talking to yourself in an attempt to validate yourself. You wanted to feel valid.

You weren't, though.

You two began to make your trip to the base, and you decided to write one last letter to Obito.

______
Hello, Obito
I assume this will take a while to be sent to you, and I assume your village is in panic. Or perhaps, relief deep down?
This was a sudden choice, and I apologize. Of course apologizing won't bring back all the lives I've taken away, including Sasuke's parents. You may hate me too, now, but that's okay. That's expected. That's what's supposed to happen. For a while, I know that I may have reminded you of Rin when I first came to the village.

In fact, I actually saw Rin. She died again about three months ago. She gave her life to me so I could continue my plan. Although it was a clone, it broke my heart when I buried her. You see, that's when I met Itachi. That's when we began our plan. It may seem like a surprise, it was to me too, but agreed to help me.

Maybe it's because it's for his village. Nobody could have prevented the hate of the Uchiha. I know what the Uchiha stone says, and it's altered, by the way. But if you're able to read it, I'm going to continue that plan that's written down.

By the time this is sent to you, I may be known as one of the biggest dangers to the nation, and I wouldn't be surprised. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I get killed, but we both know that's not likely.

This will probably be my last letter, Obito. I just have a few favors. Train Sasuke. Tell him his brother helped me kill the Uchiha, because it's true. He already probably knows that, though.

I apologize again in advance for the problems I caused and the problems I will cause in the future. Apologize now to Naruto. If you're looking forward to making security stronger, I advise otherwise. There is no point. You will just get more of your people killed. Let me control the future, and the future generations will be safe.

From, your future war opponent.

You silently slid the letter into the envelope and shut it with a barrier tag. You put your hands together and summoned your summon: a snake. "Hey, mind taking this to the hokage for me?" You asked the snake, which was nearly half your height.

It silently eyed you before sighing. "Fine, but you better give me something in return." It hissed as you clipped the letter to the snake. "Thanks, Lev." You smiled before taking a step back. "This is an urgent letter, so be careful!" You waved, staring after the snake in exhaustion.
