Tw: Death, Minor Gore

Loud alarms seemed to sound outside, the sounds of a lockdown warning that sent shivers down Bumblebee's young spine.
He passed many doorways that were empty of people, shadows playing tricks on him as he stared through his pitch black hair.
He jogged along every door, the corridor stretching forward indefinitely.

"S-Sir! It has been deemed unsafe to stay up on the surface, the foul demon has struck again." An old workman begged a man he knew as Chief Detective Damien as he scurried past. He didn't wish to be part of this conversation so he switched to a run, soon to be a sprint.

The Alarms blared louder and louder as his feet hit the floor, every doorway was open, showing scenes of crew members slipping down into tiny hatches to the bunkers.
He felt his heart ache for a chance to go down now, truly wishing that he could escape the topside and into safety.
"Officer Bumblebee? What in the name of Primus are you doing here? I haven't seen you all day!"

Bumblebee flinched as he turned to see a former Detective with grayed hair and a long beard that stretched to his chest.
"Sorry Sir, it is very important that I take this information to Detective Chief Dorcan before he leaves with his team!"
It was very important that they heard the message- he was gearing up to go out to the city and investigate- he had gathered a team that would follow him wherever he went. It would be no good to lose the entire team.

"Chief Dorcan has already left, dear boy."
Those words sent chilling spikes into Bumblebee's heart.
"No... No... No! He need to know this, he needs to know this information!" The young mech cried, looking out the brick arches and into the wasteland between them and the city.
"Sorry boy, you're too late." The former Detective said sadly.

Bee felt his heart sink, his eyes closed in dispair as the words sunk in.
"No," He said, thinking hard, "No!"
A thought then struck him, his eyes shooting open in shock, a grin already forming on his face.
"Officer..." The Detective said, reading Bumblebee's face like a book.
"Don't-" He was cut off as he flew off at dangerous speeds, dust billowing up behind him as he ran.
The detective stared on, not in fear, but in pity for him.

The alarms sounded louder, screaming at Bee as guilt ran through him.
He could be responsible for them dying.
The route to the stables was short and easy, the horses bucked in fear as he sprinted in.
The stable boy yelled at him for startling them but Bumblebee ignored him, he had to save his Commander.

Mere minutes later he was speeding along, clinging to a horse in pure fear.
"Come on, faster!" He urged as dust flew in his eyes and made them water even more.
The massive city walls were now towering over him, the safety precautions to prevent attacks.
That hadn't worked out.
His legs ached horribly as he clung on, his hands cramping at the fierce grip he had in the poor horse.
The alarms abruptly ended yet no safety bell rang.
Bee shook with the force of his fear, but it was nothing compared to when he got to the wall guard port.

Instead of guards, there were energonstained helmets and armor.
He stopped and slowly got off the horse with shaking legs that barely supported  him. But when he saw inside his vision went black for a second, he fell forwards onto the floorboards.
A corpse lay on the floor, their pitch black hands holding a blood soaked rag at their side. Whoever had killed this demon was skilled. Very skilled.
Another lay closeby, its eyes wide open in fear and shock. Their hands were not covering a wound but a sword that had not yet been drawn.

The thought that they had been killed before reaching their weapons terrified Bee, tears threatening to flood.
He felt bile rise in his throat at this thought and coughed in an attempt to rid it with no success.
He slowly made his way to his feet and avoided looking at the body's, instead walking forwards with a glare settled on his face.
