There was a flash of lightning overhead as grey unhappy clouds seemed to sprint to all sources of light. 
This included the light grey moon that sat in the middle of a chain of stars trying to keep out the clouds. But the clouds flew in anyway and soon began throwing down tons of rain that thundered on the roof of the base louder than the actual thunder that crashed overhead.
It was only 7:00pm but according to the light outside it was closer to 10:00.

As the droplets of rain landed on a cliff they ran down slowly to a crack between two mud coloured rocks. These droplets dropped quickly down a narrow shaft that continued several meters down before hitting another mud coloured slab of concrete. The journey did not end there though. As the water built up, the pressure knocked a small loose pebble out of place and revealed a small hole that the water took no time to spill quickly down, down in a big clump, big enough to greatly annoy the already annoyed doctor underneath.

Ratchet yelled in frustration and confusion as a cascade of water fell right onto his helm, the cold of it shocking him to his spark.
"FOR PRIMUS' SAKE!" He shouted in a rage as the wrench the medic had been holding only seconds before dropped onto the floor loudly. The children standing on a raised platform by him flinched visibly before slowly stepping backwards, not daring to speak. Mirroring these children, three extremely large frames also stepped back in fear because of Ratchets outburst.

The only frame left close to the raging Medic was significantly larger than the others, almost twice the height of the middle sized. This figure was named Optimus Prime, Leader and Father Figure (shhhh) of the Autobots.
He was also Ratchets only proper friend on Earth. So he was not as scared if Ratchet as the others. But even he flinched slightly as the medic had yelled over the rain and the other strange noise again. That flinch caused a chain reaction throughout the base. Optimus had hit the wrong button on the computer, that caused a screen to signify that entrances would lock down in half a minute.

But nobody seemed to notice the sudden movement as they were too worried by the orange Doctor who was now wielding yet another wrench that had come out if nowhere.
"MIKO IF THIS WAS YOU I SWEAR TO THE ALL SPARK I WILL-" An extremely loud crash of thunder rumbled over Ratchets next threat, (but it was probably a good thing because I have a feeling that it was not PG) and the grating of metal that told Optimus the only ways out of base where closing.
"Ratchet, old friend I think you need to calm-" He tried to say in his monotone voice but was cut off by the very Bot he was trying to comfort.
"NO I HAVE HAD ENOUGH, DO NOT CALL ME THAT  ᾰℵ⑂Պ✺Իḙ ⑂✺ṳ ᾰԻḙ ℵ✺т Պ⑂ ḟԻ!ḙℵᖱ!" Another round of thunder prevented the others bar Optimus to hear anything other than muffled shouting.

To finish off his tantrum, Ratchet threw his wrench in the direction of his leader and stormed off. He was grumbling the entire way down the corridors towards his berthroom before the medic was out of earshot.
The others were shocked beyond words as Optimus only turned to see the smashed wall behind him, the cause had only been millimeters away from his helm. Yes, Ratchet did have his outbursts but this was out of character. Usually Ratchet was adamant that nobody has or will throw anything at the Autobot leader while said bot was busy finding emerging mines. But that rule seemed to not exist anymore.

"I think there is something wrong with Ratchet..." A female voice said after a few seconds of silence. "Well, yeah Cee he doesn't usually throw things that hard, especially at... " a male -more human voice answered before trailing off before saying Optimus' name. That person was a young man of 16, named Jack Darby. Next to him was a usually bouncy girl of 14, she was called Miko. And finally, a shorter boy in glasses named Rafael, but was usually called Raf at the age of 12. Neither Optimus or Ratchet had humans they 'hung out with' so those three were one if the very few of their race that knew of the Cybertronians.
