lx. middle school and the tour

I went to visit the middle school with Justin and his family. Rebecca and Robin were there to show us around. They knew all about the middle school. I was getting kind of nervous. All of the other kids were so much bigger than us. What if I got lost? What if I couldn't open my locker?

I looked up at Rebecca and Robin. I could easily distinguish between them now. Rebecca had straightened her hair and she was wearing sweats today. Robin was wearing a beanie over her curly hair and she was wearing skinny jeans and a plaid jacket. There were still the same height though. I felt short around everyone here.

"What should we show them first?" Rebecca asked Robin.

Robin shrugged. "You decide," she said as she took out her phone and started texting someone.

"Let's see the cafeteria!" she said. Justin and I followed her to the cafeteria. "The food is so much better in middle school than it is in elementary school."

"That's a lie," Robin mumbled.

"Where's the library?" Justin asked.

"Across from the cafeteria, but that's boring. Nobody goes there," Rebecca said.

"I go there," Robin said.

"That's because you're weird," Rebecca said.

"I kind of want to see the library too," I said. The cafeteria seemed like it would be crowded all the time. I hated being around too many people.

"I'll take you," Robin said. We followed her into the library. When we entered, Robin waved at the librarian. "Here we are," she said.

"Look how many books there are!" Justin shouted. I started looking through the shelves. There were lots of interesting books. I decided that I would hang out here a lot. It was more relaxing than the cafeteria.

Robin, Justin, and I left the library and we started walking through our schedule. I actually had quite a few classes with Justin. I wasn't sure if I would be so lucky with Aaron. Hopefully middle school would go well.
